    Seemed to be an early uptake of going back to face to face appts after Covid. Seen several doctors over time and all of them have been excellent. My current doctor is excellent. Knew my history the first time I saw him, is relaxed knowledgable and happy to listen to my input. The reception staff are caring, patient, helpful and very polite. The nursing staff re bloods or tests are also very friendly and kind. The pharmacy are efficient and helpful. Very well run.

    I was dreading calling to book an appointment due to poor telephone responses in the past. This time I was advised where I was in the telephone queue waiting that was updated and once answered the appointment was made very quickly

    Thank you. We have made several significant improvements over the last 12 months to how we manage calls. First of these is a new Phone system that allows us to manage the calls from across all of our 5 sites more effectively - currently our average wait time to be answered is 7mins, but we are working to reduce this further. When it is busy and there are increased waiting times, then patients can request an automatic call back when their call gets to the front of the queue. Steve Sharpe Practice Manager

    We have just moved to this practice after moving house. From the start we have had exceptional service. Appointments with real live humans, super helpful admin and a pharmacy that really tries to get the medications sorted. The thing we like best is that it is all integrated. You can book online, send an email, have appointments with other members of the team and we feel that everyone is so supportive. Thank you.

    The service you get is par excellence.the staff are all friendly and helpfull it’s great having A pharmacy on the premises. Also the physio being handy is great

    Can be busy at times but once in the system dealt with promptly. Also waiting times can be very long on the phone but always use call back feature if this is the case

    Stuart, Thank you. We continue to look at improvements to our phones and also how we can spread demand. Our average wait is 5-7 mins, but this is mainly affected by the number of call from 8am - 9am. With our GP Lead Triage system for urgent issues, appointments are given on a medical needs basis, so a patient calling at 10am we receive just as much priority for a same day appointment. We also have introduced our online eConsult for submitting both clinical and Admin queries - so no need to call at all in many cases! Steve Sharpe Group Practice Manager

    Spoke with the most friendly and professional receptionist earlier today who dealt with the urgent matter at hand swiftly and kindly. The GP got in touch within the hour which was remarkable and very much appreciated. Couldn’t fault Rothschild House Surgery in this instance. Thank you for everything you all do.

    I called today to book a routine appointment - the queues were long but I ave to say that the callback service is a brilliant addition! The male receptionist I spoke to was very helpful and friendly and a surprise as I expect just female receptionists. The only criticisms I would give is the whole month wait for a routine appointment (although I'm aware the Triage system can get someone same-day appointments if needed) and that anyone in all five of their surgeries can answer a call so you could be calling for Tring and be answered by their Berkhamsted branch (which happened to me) which might not be good for the staff if they only know one site and not the others. Still, I've been with the Tring practice my whole life and even after they started expanding, they've always been focussed on getting the right help for their patients.

    Hi, Thank you for your review. We aim to provide Routine appointments within 2 weeks, but if a patient requires a specific day / time then this may be delayed. We also have a named GP for each patients to ensure continuity of care, so where ever possible it is best practice to see your normal GP, even if the wait is a bit longer - which may occur if the GP has been on holiday for example. For the phones, allowing our Patient Service Coordinators to answer from any site means that when it is quieter at one site they can answer the calls for a site which is busier. Overall the wait times are reduced, and we are finding the advantages are outweighing any disadvantages. Steve Sharpe Group Practice Manager

    I decided to try an e-consultation for a problem for which I just needed a prescription. I left the form which I completed at 2.00pm. I had confirmation that the prescription had been written at 2.30 and another to say that it was ready for collection at 3.00pm. Good service especially if you know what you need and don't need a face to face appointment.

    David, Thank you for your review. As you say, for admin requests using our eConsult forms provide a quick and simple way to contact the Surgery. We may not always be able to respond within an hour, but will normally do with a few days. Using our eConsult also frees up our phones for patients where a eConsult may not be appropriate.
