    When calling to query a second appointment made, the call representative was incredibly helpful, informative and accommodating. I have also noticed a huge improvement in appointment availability since the opening of the new surgery.

    We've been using this surgery for 49 years. The service, support and staff are second to none. I'm sure they have saved our family's lives many times over. We would never ever move away from this practice. They are doing their very best in very demanding times. Full marks.

    I am literally bowled over by how supportive our doctors and surgery team are. Prior to Christmas both of my children were in and out with last minute appointments (due to me being extra concerned regarding Strep) and were seen promptly by caring and professional doctors in what is an extremely busy time. The reception team have been nothing but supportive whenever I've called and I just think the service is incredible considering especially how busy you are. And to top it off our lovely family Dr called me tonight (having, I imagine, worked a very long day already) to support me with and discuss ongoing issues. I wanted you to know that we think it's an incredible surgery and team, and I know how lucky we are to have you in Tring and how hard everyone works to make it that way!

    Expecting people who are not well to wait outside,in freezing weather, to collect prescriptions is totally unacceptable. Whoever has managed the fiasco of the last 8 months,rebuilding project, needs to be held to account. No other business would treat their customers, let alone patients, in this way. Senior staff should sit outside in the cold for twenty minutes.

    Thank you for your feedback. We share your frustrations, but we should be back in the main building in early February. Following the fire last year the dispensary was relocated to a temporary cabin with 48 hrs with no drop in service. But it was decided that returning to their old room would not appropriate and a larger dispensary room was required. We therefore included this into our wider refurbishment plan for the ground floor area brought about with the NHS removal of our patient records storage due to the digitisation programme. Out timescale was therefore set by the completion of the insurance company review (that was delayed and took significantly longer than expected) and the NHS Digitisation Programme, which meant we were unable to start until the Autumn. With the Christmas break this has brought us to a February completion. We are aware that the cabin can only take a couple of patients at a time (the same as the nearby Community Pharmacy), but we have also installed a large shelter too protect patients from the elements. In addition patients can wait in our waiting room until their prescription is ready. We also text patients when their prescription is ready to collect. We appreciate there have been cold periods where patients may have needed to wait a short time outside, but there has been little else we would be able to do about this, which I am sure you will understand. We very much look forward to moving into our refurbished area very shortly. Steve Sharpe Practice Manager

    The Berkhamsted Surgery is very far from the image portrayed in the Media. I'm most fortunate to be resident within their catchment area. Urgent attention when needed and adequate time for interviews to take place.

    It’s always been easy to get an appointment or an answer from the doctor thanks to the triage system, and they recently updated their phone system with the option for an automatic callback when you reach the front of the queue so I don’t have to stay on the phone waiting on hold, makes life a lot easier. Always a friendly service even when they’re very busy, my doctor is very responsive, reassuring and thorough. Overall very pleased to be a patient at Rothschild House.

    On Tuesday 15th November I contacted the practice because some concerns had arisen the previous weekend when fell walking. I explained my symptoms and later that day was given a face to face consultation with a GP. I was given a decisive and inciteful diagnosis and advised to attend the A&E at my local hospital as soon as possible. Blood and ECG tests confirmed the GP diagnosis and I was admitted for an angiogram that night, during which a stent was inserted in one of my heart arteries. Quite simply the GP's diagnosis could well have been life saving.

    I phoned at 9am with a respiratory problem and was given an appointment with a doctor, prescribed and medicated all within 2 hours that same morning. That’s is amazing service. And I was reviewed by another GP just 2 days later, as a follow up. Additionally, I received professional and highly courteous assistance from the receptionist/telephone team and a very rapid turnaround from the hardworking dispensary team. In these difficult, hectic times, that’s fantastic, 5 star service. Thank you and well done, Rothschild House Group.

    I had debated whether i should bother my GP with what seemed to me to be quite minor niggles. But i decided i should go last week and as always i was listened to, given a thorough check up and referred to various other services for a bit of an MOT. As a family we have been attending this surgery for over 25 years and I can honestly say I have nothing but praise for this wonderful practice and all who work in it. From reception, pharmacy and the GP's themselves first class service every time. I consider us very lucky to have such a great local practice - long may it continue.
