  1. Review titled Shocking

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 March 2023

Confusing duplication. Reception staff not very tuned in. Very patronising . Being asked to arrange appointments for a service I was told no longer existed . Wing told if I did not arrange appointments they wanted that I would be taken off the service list. As an educated intelligent woman I found this beyond shocking. Since when do staff treat customers like this. Since when do staff dictate to me what I should and should not have and when. My body. My decision as to what I do and do not have . This I found beyond distressing

  2. Review titled Getting an appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 February 2023

After re-dialling 6 times as too many people in the queue to connect at 8am, waited an hour to get through to make appointment. Reception informed me no slots with any doctor so outsourced appointment to the Hub for an anytime 9-12 call back. Had phone with me all day, received no call. Rang surgery at 1pm to find out that "I had been called but phone was unavailable". Told RA Medical Centre can't contact to resolve, would have to wait and call again 9am next day or wait until Sat for appointment at the surgery. Leaving this here out of pure frustration at the appointment system here, if I was not so local I would go anywhere else. Not the first or last issue I have had and not just on this matter. Patient choices, you have one, go elsewhere!

  3. Review titled Don't read patient notes

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 March 2023

I had a doctor there tell me that she did not know why I had come to see her even thought I put everything on an econsult. I am diabetic and the doctors don't even bother to read my notes and I had to explain everything all over again. Also, I was meant to see the diabetic nurse, but when I had my appointment, the nurse was a different one and again they did not read my notes and I had to explain everything again. It's really frustrating and dangerous when the GP does not even read the patient notes.

  4. Review titled There is no service provision or support available

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 January 2023

We were told a prescription would be ready for collection at our pharmacy and if there was to be a problem we would be contacted. We weren't. It had been rejected. No one had called. This left my family member distressed and without the prescription they needed. The website is hopeless. eConsult is only available between 8.00-10.00 am. This is not proper service provision. We are left not knowing when or how we can get this resolved. How are people supposed to access the services, medication and care they need?

  5. Review titled No appointments now no econsult

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 January 2023

I have come to accept that there is no point in telephoning the surgery for an appointment, so use the econsult service. But, today however I have come to learn that the econsult service is now only available between 8-10am - why? People who work have to complete the econsult in their lunchtime, not in work time. People need to speak to a doctor on non-urgent but important issues, but we are blocked at every turn (not that it is any better, if it is urgent). These times are equally not convenient for people who need to get relatives/carers to complete econsults on their behalf. Yet another decline in service offered.

  6. Review titled Appointment system

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by John Kelly - Posted on 13 January 2023

The pharmacist adjacent to the practice advised me to make a GP appointment for a review before my next repeat prescription. I went to surgery reception to make sure I have that review in good time. I was told by receptionist there were no advance appointments available and to try the next day. I telephoned this same week and was told that there was no such thing as advance appointments and that I should call Monday 8am to make a 'same day appointment'. I explained did not want it that day and will settle for a few weeks ahead. The telephonist/receptionist quickly cut me off when I queried that system "I've just told you sir..." in a dismissive tone was the response. When I asked for the practice manager to call me to discuss she sounded impatient and when I questioned her attitude she hung up.

  7. Review titled Update information please

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Please list the current staff names and GMC numbers. It’s not useful for patients to list doctors and nurses who are no longer at the surgery.

  8. Review titled Impossible to get help

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 November 2022

Let’s start with the fact that the practice website asks you whether the review you want to leave is positive or negative: if positive you are directed here, if negative to e-consult. This morning i phoned at 8 am to get an appointment for my 6 weeks daughter who has developed a cold. After a 45 mins wait (which we can all do with newborns!), an extremely rude assistant tells me that she can only book me for a phone appointment. I tried to explain that the baby is 6 weeks old and that it is difficult to explain symptoms over the phone but she insisted that that was the only appointment she could give me (in an even more rude way). Considering that this was at 8.45 you can imagine the staff friendliness you’ll get of you try to call at 4 in the afternoon. At 4.30 I finally got the call from the Dr. who didn’t let me fully explain the symptoms of the baby and rushed to prescribe me a medication. I politely refused as i’m not comfortable in giving a newborn a medication without a doctor actually seeing her (even if the medication is totally safe). I was told to go to a& e and to call back on Monday if i wanted an appointment next week. I understand they are busy but as a patient you feel like a burden to this practice, nothing else. I would have hoped for a different approach and care with a newborn. The real problem is that we don’t have valid alternatives in woolwich. Finally, the baby is not offered the 6 weeks check but the check is done at 8 weeks together with the first immunisation. I’m really concerned about keeping the baby with this practice.

  9. Review titled Not the Reception Staff - it's very poor Management

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 October 2022

Again, the booking system, absolutely no use to anyone who works. Trying to book any appointment anytime soon - they have none to offer telephone or in person. The Reception staff are not to blame its the Management, the Reception staff have nothing to offer, due to Management, they have nothing at their disposal in order to help patients they just sit there say no. This once was a great practice, I have been with them 20 years plus, but it is totally failing now, in almost every respect. Unable to comment on current GP's has the turnover is so frequent and it is impossible to have any contact with any that maybe working there. Very sad, total mis-management.

  10. Review titled No Econsult - Is there any point to this surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 October 2022

No appointments available if you go into surgery of call. Told to do online econsult in order to speak to a doctor. Econsult is shut in the evenings and weekends and today I find is closed a 3.15pm. Is there any point of this surgery, it is totally failing in its purpose.
