  1. Review titled Great Service !

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 November 2024

On 6th Nov my daughter noticed a small hard lump underneath her ear with no other signs of infection or illness. After filling in the online form, we were contacted by phone within 30 minutes, inviting us for a face to face appt to see a Dr in just over an hours time. We were seen by a female gp, who was wonderful. Reassuring, and giving excellent advice alongside a script for abx. During the short hour wait for the appt, she had developed new signs of an infection to the area. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to Penn Manor, who so often are criticised, along with the NHS in general. The quick access to a knowledgeable, competent, and compassionate GP gave us great peace of mind, and enabled rapid treatment for her condition. It may seem a small thing, but as a parent and patient, it meant a great deal to us.

  2. Review titled Excellent caring reception team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mr Tonks - Posted on 30 July 2024

I had to have medication ordered that I need for my medical condition, within 3 days the Reception team had resolved my request and a doctor had dealt with my medication. A big thank you to the reception team who are always polite and respectful.

  3. Review titled Diabolical practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by George Love - Posted on 25 January 2024

I used to praise this practice but not anymore. I am an 89 yr old who had an appointment for the Doctor to sign my proof of life certificate which I have to send to Australia every year in order to receive my pension. I sat in the surgery 2 hours and,20 mins as the Dr was unsure what to do. The way I was treated was disgusting and another gentleman told me that it isn't the practice to sign these forms as more. It took them 2 hrs and 20 mins to tell me that. Meanwhile I am stressed to the limit and in the end they told me yes they could sign it but it would cost me ,£30.00. amazing what Money can do. In principal I wouldn't pay it and asked for my form back. Is this how they treat their patients. Obviously I am changing my surgery so they are the ones missing out as I amp prescribed a great deal of meds every day. My name is supplied.

  4. Review titled Awful experience registering.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Zoe Seekings - Posted on 12 January 2024

Have set foot in this practise 3 times. 1st time was to register myself and my newborn. Was told to fill in forms and bring red baby book. 2nd time was told I needed birth certificate. 3rd time the receptionist didn't take any info from birth certificate and refused to look at red book. Now had a call to say I need to go back in with red book and to fill in form we already did twice. Will be moving my whole family away from this practise as soon as I can. Receptionists are clearly not trained. My partner also has received conflicting info on wether he can book an appointment the next day. It depends on the receptionist. Don't waste your time.

  5. Review titled Terrible practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 December 2023

Hae had issues everytime i've attempted to make an appointment over the last 3 years - the most recent being that i didn't receive my call back off the doctor, i called again and waited another 40 mins on hold to speak to someone who confirmed the number i needed to be contacted on only to find out that they then rang my old work number which was suppose to be deleted on my records. There's terrible communication between reception staff and doctors and it appears that nobody bothers to read the notes for requests made by the patient. Call waiting times are awful and nothing has improved even though they said it would 12 months ago.

  6. Review titled Outstanding care from dementia nurse

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 August 2023

Had a review of my fathers dementia care - the nurse was so caring and professional and took every care to ensure my fathers needs were looked after and that I as a carer had all the support required. She had all the answers to all my questions and provided total support to both my father and me. She is a credit to the NHS and my thanks and that of all my family go out to her for being so wonderful.

  7. Review titled Poor medical centre experience

    by Kath66 - Posted on 12 June 2023

I found the nurse to be rude and unhelpful and felt they made me out to be an idiot!! And gave me a hard time getting a sick note and the fact my employer can’t give me alternative work. Also I find the reception staff are hopeless and don’t seem to know what they are doing!
