I saw the nurse today as a routine follow-up to my type 2 diabetes monitoring. She was unfailingly friendly, caring and utterly professional - she gave me time to ask questions and made me feel valued as a patient.

The problem was resolved fairly quickly, happy with the experience from the nurse. The nurse managed to speak to me which helped with my anxiety. Which helped me be calm while I was in the doctors.

Very good treatment this morning from the nurse. I had my feet tested for diabetes type 2, and blood pressure taken. Also given test kit for urine.

The practice pharmacist, was very instructive and patient to explain changes in my condition - and he provided self-help to enable me to better control things. Time was spent, never hurried nor made to feel I was simply just another patient on a list. Excellent

Had a call back booked for today, which I received in good time. I was offered a face to face appointment with in the hour, which I promptly attended. Everything all sorted with a prescription , no fuss, all done an dusted before 12 noon. , I'm a happy customer , thank you Rydal Surgery

Dr working at this practice is extremely insensitive & rude. Have Been off sick for anxiety & stress during my pregnancy & requested extension to my sick note for her to say to me on the phone “you sound fine”. Please tell me how you hear or see anxiety and stress through the phone? Maybe if the reviews were done in person you would physically see how mentally drained I am. I’m currently having therapy referred via the gp for my mental health which she wasn’t aware of as clearly didn’t look at file. It’s disgusting behaviour Really don’t like this surgery anymore people like that shouldn’t be working as a gp. This incident has caused me more distress as should not be spoken to like that.

Our GPs are more than happy to see our patients face to face if that is the patient's preference. All medical professionals have a duty to only issue a Med 3 (sick note) once they have established the reason for the request. I understand the sick note has been issued to you. I have recently registered whole family to this practice after difficulties getting an appointment with another local practice. It was very straightforward to register. The team responded to my consult for blood tests in a timely way. Care and processes are sign posted very well. The reception staff were polite and helpful. The GP was kids and really helpful. After years of frustration with my other surgery, I feel very grateful and that I would be listened to/appropriately triaged should I have an urgent concern. Thank you for all your hard work.
