Review titled Supplying wrong information to over 60 patients
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Jack - Posted on 04 October 2023
Saffron Health Partnership have posted this statement below on their website: The NHS is not accepting booking as yet for over 60s ..It is misleading and attempts to direct patients elsewhere which they do not deserve, Covid Vaccinations: Patients aged 60 and over We have been made aware that the national COVID vaccination booking system is now accepting bookings for anyone 60 years of age and over. Go to [they then supply NHS website]. Patients do not need to wait for a letter they can simply book using their NHS number and Date of birth.

Review titled Cannot fault this practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Alex Lauren Greenwood - Posted on 29 March 2023
GP practices are getting nothing but bad criticism. I'd like to voice my experience as fantastic, outstanding even! My online query was dealt with and then saved me the trouble of fighting for a future appointment. So so efficient and the care coordinators/admin team deserve a massive pat on the back for the position they work in, supporting the GPs/nurses etc by looking after us patients. Just wanted to let you know how important you all are to us and to keep going through these difficult times.

Review titled Poor and unprofessional

Have finally reached the end of my teather. Saffron health is quite frankly useless. I was able to actually get a face to face appointment in January followed by tests which fortunately came back clear but am still suffering with chronic issues. I have been advised the earliest I can speak with a GP is two months as this isn't classed as urgent. I have been using their email service as I can't be sat on the phone for an hour every morning trying to get through and the reception staff are gatekeepers who make you feel guilty for wasting time and have no concept of manners or kindness. Avoid this gp practice at all costs!!

Review titled Careless doctors and nurses
Rated 2 stars out of 5

On the 23.01.2024. I came for the blood test, the nurse she didn't know how to take the blood, she was putting the niddle everywhere, I asked her to stop. Last October my blood test results for the thyroid was underactive, no one contacted me to change my medication. I went to Sandy surgery, reception said my blood test was normal. I travel abroad and check the thyroid, doctors abroad told me my thyroid underactive and giving me a wrong treatment. So I try to book the appointment with the GP in Biggleswade or Sandy, i been told no appointments available. Why NHS waisting their money hiring a careless inexperienced doctors or nurses.

Good afternoon We are sorry that the service provided by the practice has not been to an acceptable standard. Are you able to give more detail with regard to the incorrect information you were given? This could be an issue which needs to be addressed by providing further training for staff. Many thanks

Review titled Impossible to be seen
Rated 1 star out of 5
by S Webster - Posted on 01 November 2022
I have tried and failed every day for weeks to call at 8 and wait to get an appointment, where I sit on hold, sometimes for over an hour, to find all appointments are gone. I struggle with my mental health, the wellbeing service have suggested that they can't help me and that I should seek medication and yet I cannot get to even speak to someone on the phone, let alone get an appointment with a doctor. Online services are showing that there are no pre-bookable appointments at all in the available viewing period, which takes me up to the end of December. My condition is not an emergency but I am really struggling and it is inhibiting my ability to work. I would basically suggest that if you're registering with a doctor's surgery in order to actually receive medical care, you should be looking anywhere but here.

Review titled Cannot get appointment over the phone
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 08 November 2022
If I have a problem and try to call the surgery, the lines are always busy - even ringing at 8am as requested, the message is the same, that there are more than 20 people ahead in the queue. By the time I get answered, there are never any appointments left. I do not know anyone who actually manages to get an appointment by ringing in the morning. Most people have given up as it just seems impossible. My partner has a mole which has changed and he is concerned about it, but keeps getting told to ring at 8am, which does not work. GPs encourage patients to let them know about any changes they are worried about, yet we are then prevented from being able to speak to anyone! It gets worse all the time, I have no confidence in this practice anymore and would leave tomorrow if I knew of somewhere better. It seems we are all just stuck with the same old poor service and nothing we can say or do will improve things.
