I have been let down by Eccles Gateway on several occasions. I have been made to feel that I’m just a statistic, and that my well-being is treated on an appointment-by-appointment basis, never seeing the same healthcare professional more than once over the last three years. I’ve found it impossible to make an appointment on multiple occasions. Most recently, I had an out-of-hours GP appointment who genuinely laughed when I told them the treatment plan I was hoping to get for my specific case. No one wants to be laughed at, particularly not by a healthcare professional when they’re vulnerable and in need of help. I was left with no follow-up appointment for a medication change that could lead to severe side-effects and told by the reception staff that I need to make an appointment in two weeks time on the day… again. Being left with no follow-up appointment when you need one is frustrating and scary at the same time. It’s like being left to fall without a safety net. I was being treated by another service who was sending Eccles Gateway correspondence regularly about my treatment, and Eccles Gateway issued me a prescription which directly clashed with one I was prescribed by the other service because the issuer didn’t read my case notes. I have been passed from pillar to post, desperately seeking help from the health professionals at Eccles Gateway and every time I manage to get an appointment and speak to someone, I’m left feeling disillusioned, unseen, unheard and like my well-being is even less important than when I went in for the appointment. I know the NHS is stretched thin, but this is the first time I’ve been so let down by a healthcare service which is negligent with its patients to such an extent that they may actually cause harm. I wouldn’t recommend this surgery to anyone, it’s a mystery to me how it has such a high rating on Google - perhaps those people aren’t requesting the same care for the same issues as me from Eccles Gateway.

Worst gp surgery in whole united kingdom, Im been trying to get a Blood Test done, its becasue of a very personal reason and its been 3 months im asking for help and still i havent seen a person named gp. 3 times they have made wrong appointments, each appointment is in the space of atleast 2 weeks imagine how much time a patient would loose by this. Im not sure who is incharge of this gp who ever is it should be ashamed of themself for making this in such a state. Online appointment dont work, had to wait in the call for hopurs for the Recepitnist to tell you that you are not sick. Receptionist need to know every detail of your sickness inorder to decide whether you are eligible to see a Doctor, seems like the receptionsit is the one who decides if you are sick or not. Are they even in the right mind to think that people would call them for fun!! What if i want to just discuss my issues with a gp and im dying without any symptoms? Govt should review such gp practises and see what exactly they are doing with the money and time, i can for sure say that none is getting any valid help from this gp surgery

Dear Patient, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for the practice. I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with the service we provide. We have recently had a recruitment drive which has helped with many things, access being one of them, during induction the receptionist have had Care Navigation training. This is to ensure each patient accesses the right help when needed, this might not necessarily be a GP, there are many services available to help patients, such as Minor Ailments, Physiotherapy and Mental Health Services which the reception rteam are able to refer a patient to directly. Called to make appointment- booked same day. Seen at given appointment time, doctor listened, reassured me and I was happy with the advice they gave me. Receptionist was friendly and helpful.
