  1. Review titled Baby

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 September 2024

I attended the clinic today to see the health visitor (she was lovely) I was advised that my 6 week old baby should see the doctor. I tried to book an appointment which I was told I couldn’t due to me not having her birth certificate yet, which has been ordered as she has been registered we just haven’t received the documents yet. She has a NHS number and I had her red book. NICE guidelines state that no baby should be refused to be seen by the GP.

I’m staying at my sister’s and live in Suffolk. I needed to see a GP as soon as possible. The receptionists were kind and helpful and the doctor I saw was professional and got me the prescription I needed quickly. Thanks you

  3. Review titled Excellent Secretary Care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Sam - Posted on 24 July 2024

I was experiencing a lot of medical issues and struggling to get support I got through to a lovely lady one of secretaries at Sandy Lane. She was very kind and helpful and actually went out of her way to contact a hospital for me who have since contacted me to book my appointment for injections for pain. She helped me sort out lots of issues and not once did she treat me like an inconvenience which I’m sad to say happens a lot lately in medical fields which is so wrong as this is when we need empathy & understanding the most . She was amazing and helpful and I feel needs to highlighted so her standards set the normal in care settings. I personally would always go above and beyond to support someone so they feel supported and respected so I’m really happy that there are lovely kind people still about treating patients this way it makes all the difference and helps you navigate through any medical conditions a lot easier when you feel someone has your back. Thankyou you really made a difference.

  4. Review titled Excellent team and service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Caroline Morris - Posted on 22 May 2024

Person centred appointments. Friendly caring staff in all departments. Excellent care by the nurse and escalated me quickly to a Dr when concerned. Dr's list was behind so another Dr had finished his list so offered for me to see him rather than wait. He was knowledgeable understanding, professional and listened. Acted immediately referring me to the hospital. The team is great and my experience from my first call onwards was a excellent patient experience. Thank you

  5. Review titled Staff member was a star

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I would like to say how lucky the team at the surgery are to have this staff member. She went above and beyond to help me with resolving prescription issues.  She was very understanding,  persistent, discrete and gained a positive resolution for all.

  6. Review titled Brilliant service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had to call the surgery for my 92yr old mother in law, the lady who dealt with me was wonderful, she was waiting for me at the door with a wheelchair, helped me get her into the chair and down to the surgery , kept checking we were alright, then phoned round pharmacies to locate the medication we needed. She was excellent, a credit to the surgery, she made a very difficult situation much easier.

  8. Review titled Great care and support

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 January 2023

A very positive experience with the surgery. Went for a test which I was dreading and the nurse was superb. She was professional and efficient but most of all kind and caring. She explained everything that would happen and gave me the time I needed to cope with the procedure. She did so with compassion and humour and I am so grateful for her skilled nursing. Thankyou

Thank you for your feedback. We are really sorry to hear that you had an unsatisfactory experience. One afternoon a month all practices in the area close for protected learning time. This happened to be on the 13th December when you were trying to contact the surgery. We do ensure our phonelines state this and the practice website is up to date with the PLT dates. If you would like us to investigate your concerns further, please email or call the practice and we will do our best to try and help.

  10. Review titled Lied to & not listened to.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 April 2024

I rang to make an appointment to see a GP to have some of my medication changed due to side effects. The person on the phone took ages to find an appointment for me and changed it a number of times while I was on the phone. I asked her to confirm that the person I was going to see would be able/authorised to change my meds and she said “yes”. I even asked her a second time and she confirmed it again. I went to the appointment and found I had been simply booked in for a blood test. Nothing more. I was misled by the surgery and it took a further 3 appointments (totalling 4 absences from work) to finally see a GP who said she would “ask another GP” if I could have my meds changed. She then didn’t update me with the outcome and I had to sit in a phone queue for over 45 min before the receptionist informed me my meds had been authorised. Nothing about this surgery fills me with the slightest bit of confidence. The impression they give is that no one knows what they are doing. Patient communication is appalling or non existent in my case.
