    Seems you have to push hard for a face to face, and when you get it, the Dr shows little interest as if it an inconvenience. With previous Drs that have now left, you came away feeling really cared for. You would think with 8 people now on their management team, the service would have improved. From once being a surgery that cared, from my experience the doctor I saw showed little interest.

    This is an easy one. My experience today was the web site. Your online triage is an obvious idea. I'm sure you will make it work. By the way, I suggest removing the apostrophe from "Patient Triage – Update and faq’s": it gives a bas impression. Regards, Ron

  3. Review titled Poor service for appointments and repeat prescriptions

    For the last year or more I have not had my prescription dispensed on time, in spite of it being submitted in good time. On two occasions I have had to return to the surgery to have the prescription re-issued as it had not been received by the pharmacy. This last time April/May it has not been forwarded to the pharmacy 9 days after submission, after listening to various recordings on the telephone for 20 minutes I spoke to the reception who managed to get it issued today! Hopefully I will be able to collect soon.

    Impossible to have confidence with the practice when you have no idea who your GP is and unable to have a telephone call back from a Dr. for 10 days. When you suggest that you call 111 they agree just to get you off the phone. Nurse team very good but the rest of them let them down!

    I've always sung the praises of Seaford Medical practise, sadly no more, i managed to book a telephone call with a GP , only to receive a txt message four hours later, to be informed, because mine was an ongoing problem, it wasnt considered to be acute enough!! Surely if they hadnt spoken to me how would they know? I'm now meant to wait over three weeks for a call!! So i can call 111 or go to Lewes urgent care!! But i shouldnt have to....I'm so so dissapointed in my treatment (or rather none) from this practice, I've always had such faith in them, sadly this has now been swept away.

    Absolutely awful booking service. Staff are great once you get connected but getting connected is the problem! Called this afternoon, no 16 in the queue. 37 minutes later I’ve moved up to no 3 then the line cut off! Called back and I was no 18 in the queue! I give up!!!

Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing significant and sustained levels of demand, coupled with a very unfortunate period where a large number of our staff are ill and unable to attend work.     My experience with this practice has been very positive. I am a 60 year old man and in my opinion, I have been well looked after and always feel I am been taken seriously by the Doctors, they have worked really hard to get my problem dealth with.

    Sadly the care from this once wonderful surgery is now practically non existent. I have long term health problems and once felt very well cared for. Now it's practically impossible to get an appointment or call back from your GP, I'm currently waiting 6 weeks to speak to my own GP via telephone. The excuse used is covid but this makes absolutely no sense to still be using that as an excuse for the state this practice is in. It gives me anxiety just knowing I have to phone them as the appointment booking system is a nightmare. One hour in a queue to be told no appointments available. I'm left feeling anxious that the medical support system I once had is no longer there. If I had any other choice but to stay registered with this surgery I'd leave immediately, unfortunately I'm stuck with this low level of care.

    Thank you for taking the time to comment about the surgery. We are extremely sorry to read this and can only apologise for your disappointment. Whilst we cannot continue to use Covid as an excuse, it has certainly played a huge part in changing the demand for GP services. Our surgery is not alone in struggling with the huge number of requests received on a daily basis. In August 2022 the Practice received just under 20000 phone calls. We have taken on additional staff, both clinical and administrative to help with the increase and we continue to look for ways in which we can ease the situation.
