I have always been able to get an appointment when I need one. The surgery also provides an annual health check up (like a MOT), which I believe is because of my age. I am able to order repeat prescriptions via the NHS app and these are always dealt with promptly. My most recent appointment was to discuss having a prostate cancer blood test and the doctor reassured me that as I had no symptoms there was no need for a test. I had another issue and have to provide some samples for analysis.

I don’t get it, whenever you call a GP, they make it hard work to make an appointment, saying no appointments etc, receptionist was friendly when I was there the surgery was empty. See more patients and help reduce pressures at hospitals.

Due to being unable to be seen face to face my 3 year old granddaughter had to be taken to Gloucester Hospital in the evening (after a telephone consultation)when arriving at Gloucester Hospital waiting for many hours to be told by dr that she should not have been sent to Gloucester Royal Hospital!! As suggested by the practise … very disappointed .Some cases require immediate face to face consultation with a doctor.

Unable to get face to face appointments as a family we do not attend doctors only when needed which is rarely… it’s made very difficult to get an appointment, even for items which could be easily obtained by doctor looking at medical records..having to go else where to get important documents completed

Two telephone consultations, once the gp was eating her lunch whilst talking. All i could hear was her chomping on crisps. It was so difficult trying to explain my symptoms when i had to wait for the gp to finish what she was eating for a reply. The second time i telephoned first thing in the morning and managed to get through after 15 attempts, arranged a telephone appointment. I waited all day for a telephone call, the gp finally telephoned at 6.05pm. I must say, the reception staff are brilliant, they are so helpful, shame about the poor standards of the gp's.
