Review titled Great GP Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I am really happy to have found a GP surgery that I like. The GP cares for his patients. He is a great listener and strives to get the best outcomes. I booked an appointment via the klinik booking system and he referred me to A&E shortly after learning about what was concerning me. The very next day he called to check how I was feeling and how the appointment had gone. I told him that my condition had improved and that A&E said I was fine. He was concerned by the symptoms I described before. As A&E had not carried out any blood tests, he sent me through for an urgent full blood test which returned with an abnormal reading. We are now investigating a potentially serious issue much earlier than we would have otherwise done. My experience in A&E had left me feeling like a hypochondriac and I was beginning to overlook new symptoms that I was experiencing. The nurse is also very caring and thorough. I could go for days singing the current team at this GP surgery's praises. The reception staff is very helpful and patient. And, ever since the introduction of the klinik booking system, it is so much easier to get a consultation. I just wanted to encourage you all to say keep up the good work. Your efforts are noticed and appreciated.

This is the first time I ever leave a negative review. My 5 year old daughter was struggling with UTI symptoms so was seen by a doctor who took her urine sample which was negative on the spot but said to do further tests she needs to send it off. She told me to call back tomorrow to see the results so she can start taking antibiotics. I called every day for 10 days and every single time the receptionist said the samples sometimes take longer to come back. On the 10th day after being told the same I shouted saying can you investigate. Then she tells me there was no record of a sample and that I had to send it off myself?! Why couldn't all these receptionists who answered the calls every day check that? She still has all the symptoms I wish I just went to a&e.

I am really sorry that this happened to your daughter. I must say I am very surprised by what went on. It should take no longer that 3 days for a urine sample to come back, but it seem to me that your sample was unfortunately not sent. I apologise for this and hope that your daughter has fully recovered. I hope that this will never happen again, but if you have any problem like this again, please contact either me( practice manager ) or my assistant .
