    I have autism, my husband was wrongly accused of abuse from mhs because he takes calls for me, this resulted in being asked by my GP, obviously really glad that my GP is amazing and onto abuse for other women out there actually being abused its very frustrating when my notes state to not call me and my husband talks on my behalf, everytime im visiting here now i get spoken to like a child and asked if im getting abused and not the typical is everything ok at home its very personal to my appointments and i am not coming back unless i really need to, im avoiding now as its very embarrassing for me as i am already so nervous to talk and be there then they invalidate my autism and think i must be abused and thats why i cannot talk, i wish they had more understanding in autism and to not jump the gun when i tell them the first time i am absolutely fine at home! Definitely will look to report this with an autism charitys help because im nervous what i can or cant say incase its twisted sadly

    I have only recently moved to this area and joined with Shaftesbury medical centre for myself & my family. Each time I come to the surgery the staffs are very approachable especially the staff who assisted me for the registration process.

    The doctor was absolutely excellent. He was calm, friendly, informative and took the time to make sure I understood the information and was happy with the next steps.

    Having attended the practice today with my uncle I was pleasantly surprised with our experience. My uncle is new to the practice so this was his first appointment. The GP we saw took her time to listen to his concerns, had a good understanding of his recent health issues and was really helpful and informative. In addition, I would like to thank the reception staff at Church View Surgery (branch site) who answered the telephone efficiently and politely this morning and accommodated my request for a face to face appointment for my uncle.

    If you ring in the morning, there's an automatic voice telling you to ring after 2pm. You ring after 2pm, the receptionist tells you to ring in the morning. It's a never ending loop. I've been registered to this practice for like 2 years, and I've still never even seen my doctor. The "e-consult" form, usually results in just a phone call and never an appointment. I need to get seen, it shouldn't be this hard.

    Dear patient, I was sorry to learn you are unhappy with our appointment and telephone systems. I would like to reassure you we review our appointments system regularly and are currently reviewing our telephone system also. Since you gave this feedback we have made some changes. The automatic voice asking you to call after 2 pm has been removed. We have listened to our patients and as a result introduced some pre-bookable appointments which we are hoping will provide some flexibility for patients and reduce the early morning rush for appointments. Our reception team are also trained care navigators which means they can signpost patients to the most appropriate health care professional without the need of seeing a GP first e.g. they can book direct physiotherapy appointments. We are hoping these changes will go some way to improving the appointments system for our patients. I apologise for the delayed reponse and thank you for taking the time to provide the feedback.
