Can’t get an urgent appointment even though referred from Basingstoke A&E to GP because of extremely high BP reading 2**|1**. Receptionist asked that I fill in the e-consult form online, I’ve done this and confirmation email I received says the surgery will contact me by Friday 6th Dec. Hospital says it’s an emergency, clearly the GP surgery doesn’t think so. Looking to register with another GP surgery but it seems they’re all the same.

After a very ropey start the practice has improved significantly. The nurses are excellent. Reception is now friendly and efficient - calls now get through (unlike previously) E-consult now works again and I use it out of preference. It still takes a little too long for a triage call when needed following e-consult but itdies happen. The doctors are good but I have never seen the same doctor twice - which means all discussions and hisorry are note driven rather than the dictors knowing me as they did in the old practice

This practice has some great minds trying to get the already tough NHS job sorted. But it is inadmissible that you call, discuss and agree with someone concerning a health issue and they end up taking a decision that suits them without your knowledge. One time could be a mistake, but more than once might not give a nice impression. Moreover, they run a lab test and you cannot lay hands on the results or even access a physician to discuss the results with. The practice administration might have some work to do.
