Have been sent to Shelly manor for a minor consolation waited 3 week. This is the first time at the practice after beening at Holdenhurst road for over 40 years.I enquired at reception about covid/flu injection. I work as a carer in a care home the receptionist was not able to give me an appointment to have the injections and was saying that I should get the injection through work . 20 years in care I have never had my injection at work. Do not know what to do now,

I contacted the surgery today as my hay fever has been really bad this year to seek advice on other medication available or whether the injection that is available is suitable. Although this may sound a minor issue, it has really been getting me down this year and no interventions I had tried, and I had tried many, worked. The GP I spoke to listened to what I was saying and came up with a course of action. Thanks to both the GP who contacted me and the receptionist who took my call this morning for sorting things. I think this surgery is great.

I needed an emergency appointment and called on a Friday afternoon just on the off chance a nurse or GP could call me back. Not only was I called back within 15 minutes but the GP saw me within the hour and an urgent referral done. I was so surprised and relieved and grateful. I have been attending this GP service since I moved to Bournemouth 17 years ago, I have always had great care. Thank you very much.

From a very prompt start, my appt experience was excellent. Nurse practioner most professional, clear and friendly. The test was carried out without fuss, and results explained. I have always been treated with respect and care.

My elderly mother [87] was asked to attend for blood tests. On arrival was berated by the nurse because she had eaten breakfast. My mother was not informed she needed to fast for the test otherwise I’m sure she would have. In fact she was told it was a kidney function test - no mention of glucose .. Please be more kindly to your older patients. No excuse for this rude uncaring behaviour.

Having been recommended by my dentist to see a doctor, the receptionist found an appointment the same day. The doctor assessed the situation and then a senior doctor also ran through diagnosis with me. Excellent service

Phoned for appointment 8.50 am in the surgery at 9.50 no wait , picking up proscribed medication at pharmacy by 10.30 Can’t ask for better than that , thank you

I recently enrolled in this surgery, and while the receptionist was polite and helpful, the whole process of getting me to engage with any technology platform was a disaster. I got text messages, with no warning to expect text messages, or what I should do with them when I received them. This either needs a basic explanation by the receptionist, or better still, a brochure that walks me through the steps, tells me what to expect, and how and when to use the system. Nothing! I teach people to use technology, I work almost exclusively with technology, so I am no dummy, but how you are currently handling my enrolment in your technology systems is insane, if you hope to get us to use systems before calling you. I still haven't worked out how to get online, but I will waste another hour working something out that could have been achieved in minutes with a simple tri-fold.
