Review titled Waiting scan results in pain-contradictory receptionists
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 November 2022
Missed phone call from surgery, so rang up, told to ring back later that day. Rang to be told no appointments for 4 weeks. Receptionists told me to ring for urgent appointment the following day. Rang and told my appointment wasnt marked urgent so couldnt have one. Left not knowing results of a scan and still in pain.

Review titled Undecided
Rated 4 stars out of 5

I generally love this surgery, receptionists are always extremely helpful. However, the past 2 visits I have been left feeling like an inconvenience and upset and not being listened to. Both doctors talked over me trying to explain my history and symptoms, both doctors didn’t seem to have an understanding of my history or want to take on board the fact that I may know myself and my condition. Previously I’ve had exceptional service from doctors at this surgery so it was actually very damaging to my self confidence (I have to build myself up to leave the house let alone explain sensitive issues) and this has resulted in increased anxiety which will no doubt turn into the need for further appointments. I don’t want to change surgery but I feel like some of the doctors need a greater awareness of invisible conditions and the importance of not leaving the patient feeling belittled and frustrated by the lack of support. E.g. telling a patient that they “just have to get over it” or that they should “wait for therapy before doing anything”…waiting lists for therapy are approximately 24 months, when a patient is gradually getting worse and cannot leave home alone then there should at minimum be an exploration of treatments for the ongoing condition. I left the appointment feeling like I’d been spoken to like someone who didn’t understand anything when I actually have a deep understanding of my situation from a private and personal level. I hope things change back to the previous levels of service.
