  1. Review titled Amazing service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Hugh Jones - Posted on 21 January 2025

I am registered as a temporary patient with Shore Medical. I was in urgent need to see a Dr. I was contacted by the patient care team 1 hour after registering as a temporary patient and was offered an appointment an hour later. I was unable to make this appointment due to transport issues so was then offered a different appointment at 9am the next morning. The Dr I saw was very patient, thorough and knowledgable. The Dr has set things up at the surgery so I am able to access all services and my prescriptions with ease. I feel very confident about the care I will receive whilst I am staying with my daughter in Poole. Thank you to the Dr and the surgery team for a fantastic service. This is the NHS at its best.

  5. Review titled Out of hours form filling

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Jeremy Woodford - Posted on 13 September 2024

I work long hours and a lot of the time have no phone signal , so trying to to fill a klinic form is near impossible. It should be possible to fill the forms in out of office hours , I’ve let a lot of symptoms build up for a year now and I am suffering a little anxiety as a result also pains in new places . I’m finding it very hard to get an appointment ,whether it’s telephone or face to face . I’ve talked to a health professional at one of the practices and she said I need to speak to a doctor over this , which is nigh impossible

Dear Jeremy Woodford, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you are finding it hard to get through to us due to your long working hours and poor signal. Our klinik service is operational Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 17:30pm, providing 10 hours of access for patients to either complete their request online or to phone through where one of our operators will assist them by completing the form on their behalf. Phone lines are open from 8am to 6pm with a lunch time closure of 1 hour. (1pm -2pm). We offer our online Klinik service between these hours ( 7:30 - 17:30) to safeguard against patients submitting potentially urgent symptoms that require treatment while our services are closed. Patients are advised to contact 111 who will safely triage and support out of our service hours. For patient safety the klinik service closes at 17:30pm. This allows the clinical team time to triage all submissions before we close for the evening and NHS 111 takes over. It is unsafe to have forms sitting overnight without being triaged as safe to wait. Hence, we have the out of hours service of 111. If you are still experiencing symptoms, please can you call if you are unable to completed online where one of our operators will complete the form on your behalf. Once this is clinically triaged a member of out staff will contact you to advise an appropriate appointment or other suitable service. Anne Holburn Patient Liaison Deputy Manager

  6. Review titled Inefficiency

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 September 2024

Just seems that when you know what your issue is and how to deal with it you have to struggle to get to contact the person who can deal with the issue. At one point l spoke to four people to get to the one person a doctor who l needed to speak to from the start. How on earth can this be said to be more efficient?

  7. Review titled The Best Surgery/Doctors/Nurses around

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Maria Barber - Posted on 04 September 2024

Sorry I did write the names of Drs and nurses and prescription team who help , but it’s not allowed so… All the Drs , nurses at the practice , prescription team and the Nurses that come to my home to give me my Im sickness jab. These are all the people that help me every single week. I think this practice gets a really rough break. These are normal people also that have days like us. People forget that, without this group of people helping me with my illnesses, one being very rare, I would be in a mess , I’ve lost a lot to these ailments, I’ve gone from everything to nothing. They’ve helped me with pain management team, mental health also, I have such a fear of the hospitals now on how they treat patients, I will never enter one again. So we do our best to keep me with tolerable pain and my sickness under control at home. I am grateful and so happy that we still have a surgery as there are less and less people entering the medical field. I want to say thankyou to everyone that helps me , it’s true it does take a village. So maybe before you write a bad review or go on the phone annoyed , take a breath and just think it could be one of your family on the end of that phone !!

  8. Review titled Compassionate Care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 June 2024

I had an appointment for a blood test with Phlebotomist. In recent years I have struggled to have my blood taken and often feint, which causes me a great deal of anxiety going into these appointments. The practitioner took my concerns seriously, found me a room with a bed (instead of a chair) and distracted me with good conversation. This made a huge difference to me, their compassionate approach meant I didn't feint or feel at all uneasy, which is unheard of for me and blood tests! As a result I now have a good experience to lean on if I need similar tests in the future - their care didn't just impact me in that appointment, but going forward, which is invaluable! Thank you so much!

I was reluctant to speak to a male Doctor at first. But the doctor was very easy to talk to about menapause. He was very knowledgeable, very helpful, but most of all he has given me hope and restored my faith in the NHS. There is a lady in the appointments team at sure medical has restored my faith in human kind. Thank you so very much.
