Review titled Prescription
by Marsh - Posted on 31 August 2024
I have one prescription item that my Oncology Consultant robustly told me, make sure you take it every day or you will die. For some reason the Practice sees no urgency in confirming my prescription and have now taken it off my list of prescribed medication for my online pharmacy to order. I spoke with them and they have now placed an 'emergency' order over a week ago, however it is still with the Practice to approve. I have six days of medication left, so will spend considerable time on the phone on Monday trying to resolve the issue, or visit the Crook Log Practice and then be treated like I am a nuisance trying to keep myself alive. Which happened last time I visited, a month ago, for the same issue with a previous prescription.

Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry that you are not happy with the service provided by the practice. We are a total triage practice and the easiest way to contact us for administrative and medical issues is to complete "the triage form", which is available on our website. We also have staff on reception who will help you to complete the form over the telephone or in person, to assist patients who are unable to do it online. I appreciate you said you tried to call 8 times, but we are experiencing high call volumes. Should you wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. Review titled Quick, efficient and friendly service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by John - Posted on 21 September 2023
I contacted the surgery on advice of cardiac nurse as I was feeling unwell and received a triage callback quickly on the same day, and then a appointment with a doctor who promptly organised blood and urine tests. Everyone was very helpful, service was great, and I’m getting the treatment that I need as a result. Thank you.

Review titled Can’t ever contact them let alone get a good enough service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Philippa - Posted on 20 September 2023
Been on hold for over 2 hrs (not unusual) and never get to talk to anyone. Failing marching into the reception physically you can’t talk to anyone. Prescriptions was an issue last time. Couldn’t get them, got the wrong ones and the sent to the wrong chemists. Really really poor service. I’m a capable, connected, able person and I can’t get the services I need. What on earth people with any barriers do is beyond me. They must just go without the care and services they should and need to be receiving.

Review titled Can not contact surgeryby phone
Rated 1 star out of 5

I needed to speak to someone on reception but no one answers the phone. I held on for nearly an hour before giving up. It was the same the following day. You should able to contact the surgery by phone.

Review titled Awful
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Kelly Holmes - Posted on 04 March 2023
I had booked an appointment for my mum via a message from the surgery with a link attached. I went with the confirmation on the day of the appointment, to be told there is no appointment I showed the receptionist my confirmation (which she didn't look at). She said there is no doctors appointments would you like to see a nurse. Not only did she not apologise for the surgery's mistake but she had no empathy skills what so ever. I clearly did not want to see a nurse I had booked an appointment for a doctor and also taken the afternoon off of work to get my mum there. The receptionist then called her manager who said there would have been a text with that message saying to confirm press y. This wasn't the case and i felt like I was being palmed off. I told receptionist I could speak with her manager she declined. Eventually a doctor agreed to see us at the end of her surgery which I would like to point out that as she was in a rush wasn't the consultation I was expecting for my mum. Also we were made to feel she was doing us a favour for seeing us even though it was the surgery's mistake. Also as she was in such a rush she printed us off a urine test form instead of a blood test form, awful service!
