  1. Review titled Horrendous practice.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Considering the amount of new tenants moving into the area, A surgery serving so many people without a in house GP is frankly a bit of a joke. The "New" Booking system is terrible and staff when called on the "Appointment" Line say they have no control and can't book appointments manually which is rubbish as they've done so for me in the past. Called up for my daughter as their booking system is generally open for less than an hour a day only to be told my three year old with a fever of 38.7 would have to try again at 8 o clock tomorrow morning. The service is nothing short of abysmal, the ANP is rude, Arrogant and unhelpful, refusing to reissue a medication prescribed by my doctor without good reason, Have registered elsewhere Avoid

  2. Review titled Awful process

Rated 1 star out of 5

Absolutely appalling process of trying to make an appointment , the online process is far from straightforward and deemed a hazard to health at best , the practice may as well not be there, I’ve tried going online for an appointment and it’s never successful within 3 consecutive days of trying and the system needs to be abandoned, there’s simply no reason for it not to be possible to make an appointment at reception or by physically turning up face to face . How this has not been possible is beyond comprehension. It’s so sad because I remember years ago this was never a problem. And there’s been no advanced warnings that the surgery is closed this afternoon. I only want to get fit to get back to work without suffering added mental health issues caused by this broken process . Instead of being fobbed off with no immediate solution for me , I’ve done everything possible advised by silver end gp and told I have to wait until the end of jan for an MRI to determine the cause of my ailment (suspected stenosis) the tablets and exercises haven’t made any difference and I need closure so I can work again! Kind regards.

  3. Review titled Absolutely abhorrently terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Hannah Harvey - Posted on 09 August 2024

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the doctors' and I must say, it was an absolute nightmare. I would strongly advise against anyone wasting their time using their services, as my encounter left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. First and foremost, the lack of availability of a General Practitioner (GP) at the surgery is appalling. On the rare occasion that a GP is present, attempting to have a meaningful conversation or book an appointment with them proves to be an exercise in futility. The lack of communication and accessibility to the medical professionals is utterly unacceptable. The nurse practitioner at the surgery is, without a doubt, one of the most unprofessional and unpleasant healthcare providers I have ever encountered. Her behavior was nothing short of horrendous – rude, obnoxious, and completely unsympathetic to the needs of patients. The lack of compassion and professionalism displayed by the nurse practitioner is simply inexcusable. Attempting to secure an appointment at this surgery is a Herculean task in itself. The waiting times are exorbitant, with patients being fortunate to secure an appointment a month in advance. The disregard for the urgency of medical care is alarming and reflects a severe lack of consideration for patients' well-being. One of the most shocking incidents I experienced was the callousness with which a disabled patient was treated. The surgery saw fit to leave this individual without essential medication until the 17th of August, displaying a complete disregard for their health and safety. Such negligence and indifference to patient care are simply unforgivable. Furthermore, the services offered by the surgery are disappointingly basic. There are no specialized clinics or comprehensive care options available on-site. Instead, patients are routinely referred elsewhere, highlighting the surgery's lack of capability and commitment to providing comprehensive medical care. After enduring years of subpar service and incompetence, I have made the decision to register with a new surgery. Despite being a patient for 12 years, the consistent failings and inadequacies of the practice have driven me to seek care elsewhere. I can only hope that others do not have to endure the same disappointing experience that I have faced. In conclusion, I strongly urge individuals to steer clear of Silver End Surgery and explore alternative healthcare options that prioritize professionalism, compassion, and quality care. The standards of service at this surgery are shockingly low, and no patient should have to endure such incompetence and neglect in their healthcare journey.
