I attended the surgery for planned blood tests and an injection and the whole experience met all of my needs and expectations. Well done keep up the good work.

I attended the surgery for planned blood tests and an injection. The medical practitioner was very efficient and effective and the whole experience was seamless.

Initially, I rang the Early Pregnancy Unit for advice being pregnant and due to the contraception I’m on, it is highly lightly to miscarry or have an ectopic pregnancy. I had a surprise pregnancy despite being on contraception! The EPU advised to ring my doctors to get in asap for a contraception review and to check my bloods etc - but outlined the risk of ectopic pregnancies. I outlined the above information to the receptionist, who couldn’t have been more unbothered if she tried! Did not listen to my concerns or the advice passed on from the EPU. Did not consult a doctor or find any further information. Said I had to wait till the following Wednesday, which would have been a 9 day wait. Luckily after contacting 111 who said I needed to be seen ASAP, I got in the following day and was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy. I am now waiting for potential surgery. Thank goodness I didn’t wait for the following Wednesday! Please take patients seriously or seek advice where necessary.
