    Extremely difficult to get an appointment during the 8.00am lottery. If you call during a quiet time then an appointment for 1 month in the future will be offered. This is a classic a "dark pattern" to deter usage. Staff are polite but uncaring, desensitised to the terrible service offered. If they hadn't been so keen to hang up i would have asked about the online booking system. Given the 8.00am lottery perhaps the gambling commission should be my next step as this surgery clearly no longer cares.

    I always find all the staff at the practice really helpful and kind, and often tell others so! However I was disappointed today, Wednesday 12 June 2024, when I went to pick up mine and my husband’s prescriptions at 3pm to find the dispensary and the surgery closed. Once before on a Thursday I found the dispensary closed, and so I avoided Thursdays, only to find it closed on a Wednesday! I live in Slawston so it was a 15 mile journey wasted. Last time I was told that the notice about the closure had been up a week, but I only visit the surgery once a month to collect our pills, not to browse notices! I suggested that a note could be put on the website, or a text sent out. This happened once. I checked this afternoon and the website said the surgery was open. It was not. I will still praise you all because you always do your best for me, but please, keep to the same day of the week for staff training, and put out a notification of the same! Thank you😊.

    If you can ever crack the code doctors are great but the administration and practice management do everything to unceremoniously get rid of you. Appointments are ridiculously hard to secure but if/when you get in you'll find only 1 GP and maybe one person waiting - why not employ some doctors - it's supposed to be a doctors surgery! Wished I hadn't registered here.

    3rd attempt to get through in a week. After over 30 mins in queue gave up one day. Next available appointment, when I am not at work to see the nurse for a repeat prescription - 26 days time and in Gt Glen and not market Harborough when I am registered and live. How utterly ridiculous. Could get a call from the nurse in 8 days time however could be between 8-12 - I have a job in a school how is this feasible? An absolute joke if you have a job to see a doctor unless you are at deaths door then you would be lucky to get through on the phone to get an appointment.

    Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback and I am very sorry to hear about any issues you have experienced attempting to get through on the phone. In regards to calling the practice at 8am, we cannot guarantee an appointment for all patients who call in during this time and there are certain days where appointments may be even more difficult to find especially at the start of the week. We are also experience a large amount of staff sickness, and are doing everything we can to improve this. I would recommend using our online service SystmOnline as an alternative to calling the practice. New appointments are uploaded onto this service at 6:30 every evening, and it is a good alternative to calling the practice.     I call them at 8:00 am for an appointment, wait for 45 minutes to 1 hour, listen to the same recorded message several times. I finally speak to someone for them to say, oh... all the appointments for today are taken and advice me to call back tomorrow at 8:00 am again. I did it for few times with the same outcome and my smart 7 year old asked me why do I expect a different result. By the way when I ask them if they can give me a routine appointment, they behave clueless and start with hmm..hm... and comeup with an excuse. I work for NHS and I am really appalled at their service.
