    I arrived at 8.00 , to be told there were no appointments in Market Harborough or Kibworth , easy to get to when you don’t drive . Ended up in Fleckney , waited two hours for a bus home . Not impressed with hen other patients were offered Market Harborough .

    submitted documentation to be completed by the GP. They took 4 months to complete basic questionnaire, only to get all of the information wrong. No effort to look at my history, just quickly ticked boxes for things that do not apply. Have been trying to get a response for months and no reply at all

    I used the online service Accurx to request a non urgent appointment with a specific doctor who was monitoring an on going condition. The request was sent on the Monday, I had a prompt polite reply on the Wednesday explaining that there were no immediate appointments available with that particular Doctor but explaining how I could phone daily to check if there were any cancellations. Something I was prepared to do as I understand that demand far outstrips supply. Friday I received a call saying that appointments for the doctor I had requested to see had been released and I was offered a telephone or face to face appointment in the near future. A great example of an online service working well.

    Went into local surgery at 8am saw doctor at 9 very impressed it was an unusual ailment but got a reference started same day

    Having concerns regarding a skin condition, I was able to make an appointment, in person at the start of the day to see a doctor mid afternoon. The doctor explained to me my medication options backed by photographic illustrations enabling me to choose the best treatment for me. Many thanks to the doctor.

    When I phone in the ladies are almost always really kind and helpful. The doctors are overwhelmed and some of them have let me know that and given me statistics of how many patients there are to a doctor, as has a member of the reception staff at market Harborough. These figures don’t mean anything to me as I don’t think numerically but being told this does make me feel unwelcome as a patient. There is a message when you ring up saying that patients being abusive and rude will not be tolerated. In the same regard that must apply to medical staff hence I am reporting a member of reception rolling her eyes at me yesterday when I was being friendly after asking for a face mask. This was at the Kibworth Medical Centre. There a wonderful lady doctor I saw at Kibworth Medical Centre who seemed to have avoided the démotivation and burn out that most members of staff seem to demonstrate. The doctors are very efficient and quick to refer and I appreciate that very much. As a patient I turn up, and am friendly and patient. I expect to be treated the same way in return. Sometimes I feel like I am treated like I am a bit of an idiot which is interesting as I am very qualified in many fields and was once a practice nurse myself. Many Thanks.

We are sorry that any information and figures given have made you feel unwelcome. That would never have been our intention. We offer this information to allow our patients to better understand the limits we sometimes have on our services with limited resources available and we are sorry for any discomfort caused. We agree that we all should be treated with kind and friendly natures and so we are sorry to read that one of our team rolled their eyes. We have reported this to our reception manager so that this can be raised with the whole team so we can learn from your comments. We are sorry if you have ever felt like you are being treated with anything other than respect and care. We will continue to work to improve our services and will take onboard your comments to help us on with that work.

  9. Review titled Fab GPs awful admin staff

    Impossible to get an appointment and the reception staff seem to mock your futile efforts to enter their domain. I have seem the GPs over the years and they are superb. However some of the reception and management team seem to relish being rude and offensive.

    I visited the medical centre last week for a small procedure. Feeling a little apprehensive but I was very reassured before, during and after it had been completed. I was made to feel at ease by the medical staff. Thank you for looking after me !
