I was called by one of your doctors on the 11/6/2024 with information on my bloods taken on Tuesday after May Bank Holiday at surgery 28/5/2024 I was so pleased with her manner slow, clear and also understood all. So much so I was able to say I was eating very little and concerned about my fitness for my Bowel Cancer Op on the 19/6. She advised me just to eat little amounts at a time and drink lots of water. As I felt so weak she said she would arrange for a prescription to go direct to my chemist for some nutritional drinks which have various flavours and will be hopefully easier than water. I couldn’t thank her enough for her advise and time she gave me. What I was most grateful for was her patience as we got through my fears quickly and it lifted my spirits to feel I’d been heard . I cannot thank her enough!

Friends and caring doctor. She took the time to listen and examine me. She then referred me for some tests. Was very happy when I came out.

I was seen on time and was extremely happy with the outcome of my appointment. My GP is very diligent in her work and listens and empathise with her patient.

When I called for my blood test results I was told that there was an issue with my kidneys and was told to repeat the blood test after 6 months. I was not given any other advice on what I can try and do to help my kidneys recover. Not sure what was the point in that blood test if I'm not told to do anything other than just wait and see if my kidneys magically improve by themselves. I know in some cases a wait and see approach works, nevertheless, I'd think there are some changes i could do in my lifestyle/nutrition etc that will help my kidneys recover. Yet, absolutely no advice given on what I could do to help recovery. Not sure what is the point in seeing a GP only to be told there is a problem, do nothing about it just keep your fingers crossed and come back in 6 months to repeat the blood tests.

Dear Patient, We are sorry to hear that you feel your results was not explained fully by the Administrator they are not clinical they are there to pass over the message from the GP. Anything clinical must be discussed with clinical team , if you would like to have further explanation's please contact the surgery to book telephone/face to face appointment with the referring GP. I have today seen my doctor about a respiratory issue. This is the third time she has seen me over a few short weeks. Excellent access and follow up. I have been a patient at this practice for over 40 years. They are a collection of doctors who care deeply. They are very well supported by a first class administrative team. It may be a little dated as a venue but this is not important to me !!

Dear Benedict Thank you for your positive review , this will be shared with all Southgate surgery staff. Regarding the building we have recently added two more consulting rooms. Outside of the building is looking a little tired this is being discussed , I am glad to say we have removed the outside fence and replaced with a planted a row hedge , which is still very young at the moment. Always have had a compassionate response from members of this practice. Queries are handled satisfactorily at the reception and consultations allow time to raise health issues, and concerns the patient has. A very good practice

I have been registered with this practice since 1970 and have always been treated with respect and professionalism. The GPs at the practice always give you the attention you require with care and in a supportive and positive manner

Went in to find out why the surgery never contacts me to notify that vaccines ( e.g. Pneumonia/ shingles) are due. Pleased to say the nurse was free and had then done on the spot.
