I think the people who are moaning on here need to get some perspective and experience other local GP surgeries. My family and friends are with other practices - one Never follows up on medication and will not see people, the other passed the patient on to a paramedic who said he needed to see a GP - he was 74th, yes, 74th, In the phone queue. Southover always get back to me on the same day, yesterday 14 minutes after I put in an eConsult and offered me a GP appointment, which was perfect. I have seen the GPs and nurses many times and always had excellent care, and due to my health issues, I have been referred to AMU whilst the GP speaks to the doctors at Torbay Hospital and gives me a handwritten referral. I have moved to Southover from a previous practice and I wish I had done this years ago … I actually feel progress is being made and the practice is giving me and my family members who are also patients of the practice their full and utmost attention.

I could not get an appointment over the phone I was unable to fill out an online consultation because the system had reached capacity and could no longer take them. I had to call 111 and they also tried to contact the practice on a direct number and the main number to no avail. it is tough to get an appointment. the level of care you get is good but its getting it in the first place that is the bigger issue

I rarely can get a call back even when ill The nurse is horrible and I'm not happy with the lack of care . I had a absys not 1 health professional would help and according to my phone log no-one rang me when requested.
