The surgery reception team and Drs provided excellent care and support. The Dr provided the most appropriate care depending on the issue I have reported, with an initial telephone consultation and offered me a face to face consultation, which was not required on this occasion.

I have had several disappointing experiences at Spinney Hill Medical, leading me to write this review. In December 2023, I experienced burning while urinating and frequent urges to pass urine, so I booked an appointment. Within two hours of my consultation and before taking any prescribed medicine, I noticed blood in my urine. I wasn't sure if it was due to my period, which was still a week away, so I booked another appointment the same day. During this second appointment, the doctor was very harsh and dismissive. He questioned why I hadn't confirmed my symptoms before booking an appointment, making me feel as if I was expected to diagnose myself before seeking help. This was extremely distressing as I was already anxious and in pain. Another incident occurred in March 2024 when I had a prolonged period lasting 15 days. Dr. understood my concerns and scheduled a test for an infection. However, during the test, the nurse's behavior was shocking. She asked me to remove my shoes and lie on the stretcher, then kicked my shoes onto the floor. I was accompanied by my two small children, who witnessed this unprofessional behavior. When I considered filing a complaint, the receptionist advised me to "leave it this time," and only complain if it happened again. Recently, I've had issues with my menstrual cycle again and tried to book an appointment from Wednesday to Friday. Each time, I was placed in a long queue and after waiting for 2 hours, the call would drop. On Friday, after waiting from 9 am to 11 am, I finally reached the front of the queue only to be told that all appointments for the next two days were full. When I explained my struggle, the response was rude, and I was told not to argue and to consider changing my GP. Overall, my experiences at Spinney Hill Medical have been marked by rudeness, lack of empathy, and unprofessional behavior. I had expected to find mature and understanding doctors who could help me, but instead, I was met with ill-mannered responses and unhelpful staff.

Arrived for appointment 10 mins early, checked in, waited for 10 mins over appointment time, asked if doctor is delayed was advised doctor was parking up, 40 mins later still no doctor, the surgery have to call to ask where the doctor is and then get advised will he another 20 mins, the doctor in question and practice are untruthful and should be in practise

Waited 30 minutes as the first caller, received no response, and then got disconnected. Disappointing lack of attention at the hospital reception. Improvement needed for better patient service.

My mum has always received excellent care from the Doctors at this surgery. The reception staff are kind and always happy to help. Thankyou. It's new phone line helps reduce the stress from trying to get an appointment when calling at 8am
