  1. Review titled The worst practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Tried to get an appointment face-to-face with a doctor through the online system and what did I get? I've got a phone appointment with a pharmacist. What a joke… The pharmacist called me and told me to come to the pharmacy and when I got there he didn't help me at all as he told me to use all the medicines I've been using already for a week. Every time I try to get an appointment all I get is a phone call from a doctor/nurse. How can you get proper help/treatment when a doctor doesn't even see you? Nobody cares about patients in this surgery.

  2. Review titled Rude, abrupt and insensitive GP

Rated 1 star out of 5

Although I am a patient at this surgery, it has been many years since I have actually set foot in the door. All appointments with a GP appear to be over the phone and on the odd occasion I have a face to face appointment with a nurse or GP, I am sent to one of the other surgeries in the SpringHall group practice. Luckily I have access to a car so it’s an inconvenience rather than a problem, but I would still rather walk to my local surgery than spend 15 minutes in my car. Trying to get an appointment for a medication review is impossible but so is getting repeat prescriptions without a medication review. There’s no point trying to get through on the phone unless you have time to wait in a queue of at least 20 other patients. I find Patches can invoke a response but if I miss the phone call from the surgery then the promise of trying again later never materialises. I’ve given up trying to get help for minor health issues. If anyone at the surgery cares to look at my Patches record though they will see my failed attempts at getting help. The last GP to phone me, did not verify my identity or ask if I was able to speak before very rudely and abruptly delivering news of a new diagnosis. This was despite me only having spoke to another GP at the surgery that morning about needing time off work due to a bereavement. No further information or support offered to process the news of this diagnosis either and I have been left wondering whether they were supposed to prescribe me medication as that seems to be the usual outcome for my diagnosis based on the NHS website advice. Unless you’re happy to be left in the dark and worried about your health, I really would not recommend this surgery to anyone.
