    I have been with springhall lane for 22 years always thought they were good until recently. When I found a lump on my breast could I get an appointment no instead had to an online consult form. In the mean time I used another service which was much more helpful. Again yesterday I tried to book a telephone appointment all gone by 11am! This time I didn’t bother doing the online form I used another service who were helpful and told me I have a chest infection. I am now loooking to move surgery. Then merging with lots of surgeries means less appointments and more clients to deal with. Why when you can’t handle the current patients why take on other surgeries problems!!

    I am sorry that you have been experiencing difficulties trying to book an appointment at the surgery. If you would like to discuss this further please contact the Practice Manager All of our available appointments open at 8 am and are available to book through engage consult, online access and over the phone. As with all services we do have a limit to the number of appointments which we can offer, and I am sure you can understand that as a large practice, with so many ways to book, the available appointments are often booked very quickly. Currently, the NHS is facing extreme pressures, and we are working hard to keep up with the demands placed on us. The appointments system is regularly reviewed to ensure we are providing the most appropriate mix of clinicians, face to face and telephone consultation appointments. All comments are discussed at length in our practice meeting and help to form future changes to our system alongside all current demands on general practice.     Great practice, doctors are extremely helpful, I always receive great medical help when needed, they are extremely understanding

    Had to wait 4 weeks for a blood test and 5/6 weeks for results then doctor rang me after I asked for a phone call he let it ring for about 5/6 seconds then hung up so I had to re book also sent email at 8.50 and had no response that day It is time we went back to individual surgeries this new almaglmation is not working Very unhappy patient

    had sutures in my shoulder needing removing. phoning is pointless so went into the practice. despite giving 2 full days notice was told they wouldn't be able to offer that service and to go to a/e. i asked for that refusal to treat typed into my records

    Dear Mr Trafford I am sorry that you had difficulties booking an appointment for your stitches removing, unfortunately our nursing appointments are bookable up to 4 weeks in advance, so when you called giving 2 days notice the appointments will have already been full. We have also experienced issues with sickness over the last few months like most employers which has meant fewer clinical staff available to do these appointments. We are working hard to try to mitigate these instances by training new staff to cover bloods appointment and minor dressings appointments. Once again please accept my apologies for not being able to help on this occasion.

    This GP practice is a joke. I have waited 5 weeks for a blood test, i got a text message saying the appointment is confirmed, turn up on the day and time and the receptionist says its been cancelled as they have a shortage of nurses. No phone call, no message to inform me that my appointment has been cancelled. No apology from the receptionist apart from her saying we have no appointments for another 4 weeks. This practice has been my GP practice since birth, however since the merge with spring hall, they have gone down the pan, a total waste of time. If i could give 0 stars i would, but i cant.. Rant over, but its soo frustrating..

    Dear Patient I am sorry that you have had this experience, unfortunately the surgery has had issues with staff absence over the past few months. We have now trained new staff to be able to do the bloods and to cover booked clinics in the event of staff absence in the future.
