  1. Review titled Outstanding Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Peter Reeves - Posted on 23 October 2024

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Spring House Medical Centre, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The facility is clean, modern, and equipped with the latest technology. My appointment was on time, and the healthcare professionals took the time to listen to my concerns and answer all my questions. Their approach to patient care is both thorough and compassionate, making me feel valued and understood. I also appreciated how organized the follow-up process was, ensuring I had everything I needed after my visit. It’s evident that the team at Spring House Medical Centre truly cares about their patients. Highly recommend this centre for anyone looking for excellent medical care!

  2. Review titled Not impressed

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Terry Conway - Posted on 20 August 2024

Just moved house which unfortunately was just outside of the catchment area of my previous surgery so I had to find a new GP. I chose Spring Health as the reviews looked very good and the website said it was accepting new patients out of area and for my post code. Four weeks later after several calls, somebody rang to say I may not be eligible because of the catchment area boundaries but she would check and let me know. She didn't bother to call back so I checked again and was told I may have to wait for another couple of weeks. I asked was the problem anything to do with where I lived and was told immediately, yes I wasn't in the catchment area. Why did it take 4 weeks and multiple phone calls. So not a complaint against the surgery which I believe is very good, but my wife who is vulnerable and I are without a GP due to incorrect NHS website information and delays from back office staff. Poor show.

Dear Mr Conway, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I am sorry that you have had this issue. We have raised the issue with the website provider and they are looking into why it showed Spring House Medical Centre as accepting patients living in your area. Thank you for highlighting this issue to us. Spring House are accepting patients within our catchment area and the team are working hard to get patients registered as soon as possible after receiving the paperwork. I have spoken with the team to ensure if there are any registration issues they are dealt with promptly. We take all feedback seriously and review regularly to help improve our services to patients. Kind regards Natalie Practice Manager

  4. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

During the strep scare with children I contacted the surgery and was immediately offered a same day appointment. Receptionist was very attentive to my concerns and my child was seen that morning by a GP who also advised me of abx shortage and most likely pharmacy to visit to get medication

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with this very positive feedback. We do think we have responded to our patients feedback and continue to try and do this. It is always good to have our patient's own views, so we can continue doing things well but also expand our services and constantly try and improve. We have all worked so hard over the last challenging couple of years and I am so glad to receive some lovely news that I will now share with the team. I am sure all of us will find this very motivational and I cannot thank you enough.

Thank you so much for your positive comments. I have shared these with all our staff today and can only say it was a real boost to morale. So often patients only provide us with comments if they are negative so it is lovely to receive some positive feedback at this very busy time and we really appreciate you taking the time to do this. I do hope we continue to provide you with a caring and efficient service throughout future years.

  6. Review titled Bad Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jaleesa - Posted on 26 November 2022

I was booked this service by my GP surgery for Saturday clinic (26/11/22) The lady on reception barely looked up at me. No sympathy or compassion, just said “you can’t be seen” for being 5 mins late. I know it’s not good to be late but I’m an ex-practice manager, if you see someone in pain or distress it doesn’t take much to ask the doctor themselves if it’s still ok for a patient to be seen. Receptionists are trained to say “I’m not medically trained” so a word of advice would be, don’t make medical decisions on your own. I’ve got funny coloured stools coming out. God knows what’s wrong with me. A smile or a bit of compassion would have been nice today but I’ve left untreated and feeling worse then I did to start with. Glad I’m not a regular patient. Thanks Springfield Receptionist!

Dear Jaleesa I notice that you mention Springfield? We are Spring House Medical Centre and I just wanted to check that you have the correct practice. However, if you do have the correct surgery and this complaint is aimed at us, I can only apologise that you are unhappy with our service. We do have to set a limit on lateness and it is 5 minutes. We have signs in the waiting room to make patients aware of this. I am sure you are aware, as an ex-practice manager how our clinicians are under so much pressure to see as many patients in their 12.5 minute appointment slots. If a patient is 5 mins or over late for their appointment, the clinician is likely to have moved onto another patient. These are professionals with a difficult job to do and seeing patients late, means that other patients who have arrived on time, would then also be impacted which is really not fair. We understand that sometimes patients might be late for several unavoidable reasons but if you phone the surgery to warn us prior to your arrival, we can often swap things around to accomodate you so I would politely ask you to bear this in mind in future. We would always want to be flexible if we are given enough notice. Thank you.
