    My daughter asked to see a GP this morning and was referred to a chemist. We proceeded to A&E and saw a GP there. She was prescribed antibiotics. Which should wouldn't of been able to get over the counter at the chemist

    On this particular day.. rang the Springfield Medical Practice several times (10+) due to High Number Of Calls.. I Get Disconnected.. when I'm finally in the call queue (No 1).. Line Goes Quiet.. No Reply.. Get Cut Off.. Not Professional At All.

    Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment for Springfield Medical Practice. We appreciate all patient feedback and take action where appropriate or necessary. I am sorry you found it difficult to get through to the surgery on the telephone. I am unsure if you tried to call the surgery on Tuesday 2nd May, following the bank holiday on Monday 1st May. As with all practices we do experience high call volumes following a bank holiday. As you state in your comment, when there are 10 or more calls queuing your call is ended and patients are informed that we are at capacity. Our receptionists do the very best they can to answer all calls quickly and efficiently but due to high numbers this can be difficult and frustrating for both the practice and patients. I apologise if you were cut off when you reached call position number 1. Our receptionists never intentially cut patients off and strive to handle all calls professionally and efficiently. If you would like to discuss your concerns further please do speak to a receptionist and they will send me a message to call you.     The surgery have been wonderful looking after us for many years and especially throughout the pandemic. All staff from the receptionists to the doctors and locums are always so helpful and caring.
