    I accompanied my elderly mother to an appointment today. She ended up seeing Dr P. Our experience with him was excellent. We received a warm welcome on arrival. Throughout the appointment he was friendly, caring and professional. He explained things in 'laymans' terms. He was informative and talked with us both whilst managing to make it clear that my mum's understanding of what was happening and the impact of the prescribed medication needed to be clearly understood by her. She was the primary focus. I am not from the area my mother lives in but I would love for Dr P to be my family GP. He was an excellent role model for the NHS. Our NHS may well be broken, but thankfully we still manage to keep individuals like him.

    Was refused a face to face 6-week post partum checkup following emergency c section. Only offered phone. GP couldn't wait to hang up, didn't do a thorough review and did not take my concerns about scar healing seriously and told me to call back if I was still concerned in 6 weeks. Called back every morning the following week as still concerned and no appointments ever available. Called 111 who got me an emergency appointment elsewhere and confirmed it was infected. This could have been avoided had they offered me a face to face as requested in the first place! To top it off I've just seen my records online when trying to find my NHS number and it's been recorded that I said everything was healing fine! Absolutely Outrageous! They also forgot to send me baby vaccination appointments after telling me it was automatically done and then tried to say it was somehow my fault that going to another surgery miles away was difficult for me. Changing GP surgeries
