I am always pleased to take part as a subject in medical research. I believe the importance of medical research cannot be overestimated Recently I took part in a research project being organised by St Bartholomew's medical centre. It was made very clear to me what participation in the research would involve. There was also ample opportunity to ask any questions I had. I believe my time spent in this research is very well spent

Both the practitioners that I was treated by, were very friendly and went to great length to explain and reassure and plan my further treatment.

It’s always a pleasant experience attending the Lake Street practice. The receptionist was very helpful and the nurse was competent, informative, reassuring and friendly.

My doctor was clear, helpful, sympathetic, and reasurred me. She immediately provided me with a followup xray appointment that further helped to clarify and comfort me.

The two young ladies I saw recently for a research study about blood pressure were absolutely amazing, I can't thank them enough for their care, understanding and attention to detail during the appointment time. I took up over an hour and didn't once feel rushed or foolish for asking silly questions. What an amazing service to have off our doorstep, I know other nearby surgeries do not offer patients the opportunity to contribute to medical knowledge and I really had no idea of the amount of projects the practice is working on. Amazing really given the pressures on the health service. Thank you for making me feel at ease. I will definitely take part in other studies that you are helping with.

I was very impressed with the way in which the rsv trial was handled . The purpose of the trial and what it would involve was explained very carefully. The trial lasted for two years and throughout that time the surgery staff continued to monitor the situation in a friendly and caring way without placing any pressure on the patients An altogether affirming experience
