The two young ladies I saw recently for a research study about blood pressure were absolutely amazing, I can't thank them enough for their care, understanding and attention to detail during the appointment time. I took up over an hour and didn't once feel rushed or foolish for asking silly questions. What an amazing service to have off our doorstep, I know other nearby surgeries do not offer patients the opportunity to contribute to medical knowledge and I really had no idea of the amount of projects the practice is working on. Amazing really given the pressures on the health service. Thank you for making me feel at ease. I will definitely take part in other studies that you are helping with.

My experience from my appointment was quick, efficient and very caring. The nurse spok clearly and explained things as she carried out my examination. Thank you to the very friendly and caring nurse.

I was very impressed with the way in which the rsv trial was handled . The purpose of the trial and what it would involve was explained very carefully. The trial lasted for two years and throughout that time the surgery staff continued to monitor the situation in a friendly and caring way without placing any pressure on the patients An altogether affirming experience

As a patient off hollow way medical centre and now a patient of Bartholomew medical centre I visited Bartholomew MC last week and also when I have phoned I have found the receptionist very very helpful and pleasant something sadly not always the case at hollow way MC And this has made my experience at this time of my life going through chemo very helpful And I really do appreciate it, I did relay this to doctor maycock today

I reported a medical issue online on Monday morning. The surgery phoned me within 90 minutes to discuss the issue, and they sent a prescription directly to my local pharmacy. I picked up the medicine early Monday afternoon, and now (Tuesday morning) I feel better already! Thanks very much to all involved.

I booked a phone appointment with a doctor for 17 April with a receptionist on 12 April. The doctor never called, so I called back the reception on the 18 only to find out that my appointment had not been booked. Very unprofessional service and poor organisation. Disergard for patients'time and unacceptable waiting time when calling the reception. Holloway medical centre has recently merged with St. Bartholomew's and I was hoping for an improvement. Things have gotten worse. I recently booked an appointment online and they gave me an appointment for over 2 weeks later. I am considering switching to another GP

Dear Patient I am sorry to read that your appointment was not booked as expected, without your details I am unable to investigate what has gone wrong on this occasion. The phones are busy but you will be offered the call back facility if there is a large number of calls already in the system. This will hold your place in the queue and call you back when you are at position number 1. As with other practices, there will be a short wait for a routine appointment but if a patient has an urgent medical concern then the duty team will assess, contact and if appropriate see the patient on the day. I wanted to try and request an appointment by using the website. I following the link to How to Book an Appointment which gave me several choices, the most appropriate seemed to be "Our appointment System". This took me to Patient Access, which doesn't work. Eventually I worked out that the right box was "Contact your GP Online". This doesn't seem to be good wording for "Make an appointment with your GP". It also takes you to another website. If you are trying to reduce the number of phone calls you are getting, the website should be much more intuitive. When trying to leave a review, I discovered that the Contact Us feature is not working, and coming up with an error message, and nor is the feature designed to leave an adverse comment.

We have had some issues with the website since the merger with Hollow Way Medical Practice on the 1st April 2024 and we are actively working with input from the Patient Participation group to address and rectify the issues. The online bookable appointments and the contact us section were temporarily suspended these have both been now reinstated.
