I have had a conversation recently with one of the secretaries regarding a referral she was very supportive and kind and promptly dealt with it . I have also found the doctors and nursing and supportive staff to be friendly supportive and helpful

Review titled Really friendly and organised flu jab!
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by anthony browne - Posted on 13 October 2024
As per normal St George's do a great job in organising my flu jab! You really do a good job on getting stuff done there I turned up on Saturday and was cheerily greeted by j and c at reception. Clear directions on Where to go and what to do. Very quickly seen by k and t. Both very confident, relaxed and cheerful. Answered the questions I had very clearly and administered my Covid and flu jab with no problems at all. Was in and out of the surgery in about seven or eight minutes. Really very impressed with the service yet again. Thank you all St George's. PS on writing this review via the NHS app I found that the link on your website has changed and it didn't take me directly to The review page. You might want to have a look at the link on your website and update it. Many thanks

Review titled Difficult to get an appointment
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 August 2024
I used to find accessing appointments at the surgery really easy, no matter what time in the day I called, I was able to book in for a routine appointment. I have received a text recently stating that I need a telephone consultation to discuss my monthly prescription. I have called numerous times, and called every time I have been able to, but just cannot get booked in for a routine appointment. I have been told numerous times that I need to call at 10am each day to be able to get an appointment, and that they go very quickly. I have tried calling at that time, and have been number 10 in the queue, I have tried calling at 10:25am and the appointments had gone. I have a full time job, and waiting on the phone and being able to call at 10am everyday is just not possible. Patch’s never works to be able to get a message through to the Surgery, there are no email addresses available. It is incredibly frustrating, I have been at this practice my whole life and have never ever had any problems - but recently it just seems impossible to get access to the Surgery.

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and for highlighting a less than satisfactory experience. I am the Practice Manager here at St George's Medical Centre and this is not the level of service we try to provide. I'm unsure which system you are referring to as Patch's but we do use askmyGP which would enable you to message us with your requirements and suitable times that an appointment could be made for you. We have 3 email addresses on the front page of our website. You are welcome to use any of those as we would always ensure that any correspondence arrived at the correct point. If you would like to contact me directly, I would be more than happy to help. Best wishes Julie Coote Practice Manager julie.coote@nhs.net 01353 864133

Review titled Brilliant doctors and staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sandra Netherwood - Posted on 04 October 2023
We recently had the unfortunate and very sad loss of a close family member at home. St George's Medical Centre doctor and staff were extremely helpful and timely in their approach to numerous home visits needed. Everyone involved from the practise was compassionate and caring. I would recommend this practise to anyone. Many thanks

Review titled Simply The Best
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Carol Green - Posted on 14 December 2022
I have been with St George’s for around 10 years. In all that time they have been excellent, without ever letting me down. The GP’s, nurses, reception and dispensary staff - everyone who works there - are professional, courteous, kind and empathetic. I’m in my 60’s and I can say, hand on heart, they are the very best medical practice I have ever encountered. We are so very lucky to have them. They are much appreciated.

Review titled Don’t expect too much
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 January 2023
I must go to a different surgery to other reviewers! Thankfully I don’t need to go often, which is just as well. MyGP, although it has its place, seems to be used as a preventative to stop you seeing or talking to a human. You ask to be called and you just get appointments sent through when they’ve not checked if you can make it - what an exercise in time wasting! Even though you take the time to fill in symptoms/issue, when you do get a call you get asked what’s wrong, clearly MyGP notes aren’t being read. I don’t know how anyone gets to see an actual doctor these days. The staff that I have encountered recently have been, especially one of the nurses, rude and impatient. I sat and listened to one of the dispensary staff huff and puff at an elderly gentleman who was just trying to get his prescriptions sorted. This surgery has completely gone downhill since I first joined it over 15 years ago
