  1. Review titled Registration nightmare

Rated 1 star out of 5

My daughter and myself are new to the NW4 area, registered online where St Georges came up as "accepting new patients". I was told that the expected turn around for registration of a minor was around 10 working days. I applied in October and have been following up since then. Today my child is sick and when I called the surgery, I was informed by the admin officer that our application has not yet been processed. It's been almost 2 months now. I think the only word to describe this situation is "negligence

  2. Review titled Unpleasant experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been registered with this medical practice for over 6 years, but in the past I have not had any major medical problems and for small requests, such as medical fit notes or mild cold symptoms or other general problems, the service wasn’t as bed as now. However in the past three years I have been struggling with my health, therefore necessitating more frequent visits, therefore I would like to mention that there is no follow-up on specialist results unless I follow them myself and ask for appointments to discuss the results, even so it is not easy to access the appointments service and I would like to mention my experience today trying to book an appointment At 9 o'clock I checked the online patches platform to request an appointment, however this service was unavailable, so I continued to check for an hour in case they might open, but they were still unavailable. Therefore I phoned them, which took me 2 hours to connect and was told that the online patches would be open at 1:30pm. At 1.45pm I checked and by the time to submit the request I was logged out and the online patch was unavailable again. As a result I phoned them back informing me that due to the volume of requests the platform had closed stating that it was first come first served and that I should come back tomorrow at 9am considering that this morning at 9 they were not available “maybe 9.10 or 9.20” As a result, I can say that they don't care about the patient's health and in addition to all these mentioned, I don't understand how in a normal day they opened the option of appointments for less than an hour!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Patchs is open at 07:30, 09:00 and 13:30. Due to the limited capacity of the number of clinical and administrative staff at St. George’s Medical Centre, we can only accept a certain number of Patchs requests before capacity is reached and Patchs must be switched off. If this did not happen then patient safety and the resilience of staff would be compromised. In such unavoidable circumstances patients who need medical assistance should contact 111, visit their pharmacy (e.g. under the NHS Pharmacy First programme), or go to a local NHS walk-in centre (e.g. Finchley Memorial Hospital or Edgware Community Hospital). Please note that the majority of our team (including the doctors) work well beyond their hours to cope with ever-increasing demand.

  3. Review titled Lack of consideration for working people

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am extremely frustrated with this GP practice. I’ve been with them for 10 years, and all my family is registered here. I rarely use their services—maybe once or twice a year. After waiting two weeks for an appointment, I finally booked one for Thursday, but they canceled it with less than 24 hours’ notice. They offered me another slot on Friday, which I declined because it didn’t suit my schedule. It feels like this practice prioritizes people who are at home on benefits rather than those who are working and trying to manage everything on their day off. Since they canceled my appointment, they should have made room to see me, as it was their fault.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. I’m sorry to read your appointment was cancelled. This can sometimes happen if a member of staff is unwell or has a personal emergency. When a member of the team is unexpectedly off work the workload falls on the rest of the team. Other nurses are fully booked seeing their patients and do not have the capacity to see additional patients, especially as they already have to cover the non-patient clinical work. In such circumstances we do what we can to reschedule patients to be seen as quickly as possible, and it’s reassuring that you confirmed you were offered an appointment the next day.
