  1. Review titled Poor care

Rated 1 star out of 5

My 86 year old mother unexpectedly fell backwards into the road while walking home one weekend. She was helped up by some neighbours who walked back to her house with her to make sure she was okay. On Monday when she told me, I suggested she get checked over by her GP. That day she saw a nurse practioner at the surgery who checked her over and said that at her age she shouldn't be looking up. Two days later she was admitted to hospital with a stroke. She has had high blood pressure for a number of years controlled by medication which had not been reviewed with her for at least two years. It appears that their duty of care is lacking in places.

  2. Review titled Very responsive support

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I recently had severe knee pain. I rang the surgery early in the morning and the very helpful receptionist booked me in with a nurse practitioner in the early afternoon. She was very responsive and directed me for a walk-in X-ray at St Mary's, which was done later in the afternoon with very little waiting. Over the last twenty years I have found all the staff, reception, nurses and doctors at this practice to be sympathetic, courteous and helpful.

  3. Review titled Terrible practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been with this practice for 5 years. My experience of them has ranged from adequate to terrible. Mainly this is because their receptionists are rude, arrogant, unhelpful and lazy whose main objective seems to be prevent access to medical care. I have been left without needed medications for periods of time due to their mistakes and there is no apology. I have witnessed them being especially rude to the elderly amd vulnerable , leaving one very elderly lasy in tears.
