  1. Review titled Difficult to get help in person or on the phone

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Kaila - Posted on 12 December 2024

The practice has transitioned to "online only" booking, but also is not very helpful when patients ring saying they are having issues with online registration / requesting an appointment booked urgently. I was told twice over the phone that I could not be helped and to try registering online again, and on one of these calls was told that I just "didn't understand" the online booking system. In fact, I was experiencing an IT error that made booking impossible, and had to seek alternative medical care.

  2. Review titled Reception staff

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Arrived at the surgery approx 1600 early for my appointment so unable to use self checkin option . Stood in front of a male in reception waiting for him to finish a phone call .. I have never heard such a long drawn out conversation in all my life it was clear to me that he was thinking that the longer he spent on this call it would save him from taking more ! It went on and on all about the persons phone number being diffent ! meanwhile there are now five people waiting … one looking around to find her way “downstairs” as the self checkin told her to take a seat downstairs ! I was kind explained (as he was available ) that it meant ground floor there was non”downstairs” I wonder how many calls the other staff took while he was dribbling on!

  3. Review titled Great Patient Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I spoke to a female on reception when I was in a panicked state and she was so caring, reassuring and calming. She made me feel listened too and I feel that today she helped to keep my daughter safe. I have nothing but honest gratitude towards the female and all the females in the Reception. I always ask for a female to talk to and am always able to. I feel so lucky to be a patient at St Margaret’s Practice, truly lucky. Keep up the caring way you look after patients and thank you.

  5. Review titled So rude

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 October 2023

Not saying that all receptionists are rude, but have witnessed really offhand a patronising manner when I’ve been in waiting room , to people phoning in with queries. Yesterday I personally had such a rude man on the phone, offhand patronising and unkind. Whine someone phones they do so because they have a medical issues and may be vulnerable .You expect to be shown respect of course , but please show your clients some patience and understanding

Dear Patient, I am the Practice Manager and I'm sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience when contacting the Practice. If you would please call the practice and ask to speak to me. I would be happy to look into this for you, as all of the telephone conversations are recorded. Our reception staff do have regular meetings/training on customer service and therefore if there is a training need with a particular receptionist then this needs looking into, however to do this I require more information. Kind Regards Lisa Anderson

  6. Review titled Waiting for 3 weeks to register as pregnant

Rated 1 star out of 5

Have tried: Via email, phone call and their patches website that doesn't work. To register as a high-risk pregnancy. Zero response. Abysmal!
