Really great, Doctor was very nice. Saw son, and also had time to look a rash over. It has been a pleasure.

Was very worried about son high temperature and with all the news stories. Called in spoke to someone who booked me straight in, in the afternoon, antibiotics same day from pharmacy downstairs. Temperature down by evening, and he is feeling better :) Thanks Doc!!

  4. Review titled hugely disappointed

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had a very positive experience with receiving the flu jab for both myself and my 87 yr old mother, swift efficient competently organised clinic running like clockwork. However, regarding my main issue, a simple request, if apparently described as "unusual", allegedly. My efforts at telephone contact echo previous reviews regarding ridiculously extended waiting in line for the phone to be answered, only to be cut off with a brief automated message after over an hour on hold. It fell upon me to request a summary of my cancer condition in order to complete a questionnaire for the DWP, however I was met with reluctance and vague responses from the receptionist who clearly viewed me as a nuisance. I was told a standard letter would be left for me on reception by the staff nurse to fulfil the requirements of the last page of the form, that being for a healthcare professional, familiar with my case to describe my treatment and side effects. I returned the next day only for nothing to be waiting. Two separate more days and two more times the same negative result prompted me to press a little harder, only to find my request was not on record and could not be traced. Clearly I had been ignored and dismissed. I was told to resort to bringing in the whole form for it to be filled. Now eight days on and still no sign from the nurse or any staff and my stressing the now urgent requirement for it to be returned to DWP falling on deaf ears. I am returning to collect the questionnaire, incomplete since the DWP have insisted on its immediate return, with or without the final page's information. Completely let down by receptionists and staff who have postponed and delayed action on this simple request to the extent of possibly causing my benefit payments to be sanctioned or retracted since the "fit note" (formerly aka sick note) has been in place. Thoroughly disillusioned and disappointed in the service at St. Marks since lockdown, whilst hearing not so much as one positive response from family, friends, acquaintances or online reviews regarding other's experiences. It seems inevitable that we shall be forced to attempt to join an alternate centre further away, since the deterioration in standards of basic communication and service is no longer fit for purpose at this surgery, much as it pains me to report. I do get the impression of hard working diligent, professional staff behind the scenes being woefully badly supported by rude or inefficient, even incompetent frontline and public facing staff. I have witnessed frustrated patients loudly disputing with receptionists, with reasonable cause for complaint. I however, do not find this aggressive approach necessary, beneficial nor acceptable, despite sympathising with the futility of attempts to be dealt with properly, so shall be one of the silent majority voting with my feet and visiting elsewhere. Such a shame the drop in standards compared to a short time before.
