Review titled Poor performance
Rated 1 star out of 5
by John - Posted on 30 April 2024
Had an appointment to see a doctor today. St Peters surgery. Surgery closed, with no explanation. Rang reception. Unhelpful receptionist said I should have been told the doctor was 'off sick'. No message had been sent. The receptionist could offer no alternative, today or at any future time! She offered no suggestion, and her manner suggested that I was someway at fault. Really abysmal and uncaring, inappropriate service.

Review titled utterly useless
Rated 5 stars out of 5

So I just joined after Farrier House closed. I need cortisone injections in my knee so I can walk. I was told I needed a telephone appointment first. I waited a month for that. The doctor told me I needed a face to face appointment and someone would call me. No one did. When I did chase it all they wanted to do is blame the doctor. They couldn't even offer me an appointment for my one day off a week as they are fully booked. They want me to call in next week and wait on hold again. They refuse to let you speak to the practice manager, everything needs to be in writing. It will be, then it will go to the ombudsman and the BMA. I'll be moving surgeries, it will be quicker than trying to get an appointment here.

Review titled Great care, but long waiting times
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 October 2022
The care at the GP surgery is always great. However the wait times in the waiting rom are incredibly high. I have never been seen in time for my actual booked appointment. Sometimes you can wait in excess of 40 minutes but most of the time it is about 20-30 minutes pst the appointment time. This can be very inconvenient.

Our apologies for not replying sooner., Whilst we try to schedule so you don’t have to wait too long, this can be difficult. This could be the previous patient needing more time than we can predict. It may also be that the GP has been delayed due to hospital queries, and enquiries from other departments.
