Review titled Above and beyond
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Charmain - Posted on 16 March 2023
I had to have some blood tests completed due to a new job role. I called St Martins and the receptionist was so helpful, she went above and beyond to help. The nurse was contacted and I was booked in the same day for tests. I cannot recommend the surgery enough.

Review titled Terrible Reception Experience
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by James Charuwat Armitage - Posted on 27 March 2023
Today 5:19pm 27th March 2023, I phoned for an appointment. This is my second phone call to get a time and date for an appointment. When the call went through I was met with a very unenthusiastic personality, she seemed like she didn't want to 'deal' with me at all. I asked for an appointment about a painful wrist caused by excessive joint fluid that led to bone inflammation, she refused to give me an appointment. She was very adamant that I use 'Patches' which has been unavailable for the last few days. She further explained that 'Patches' becomes available at 8:00am and becomes unavailable after it has filled out only 12 appointments. I explained to her to her that I work night-shifts so I am not awake at 8:00am to book on 'Patches'. She continued to refuse giving me an appointment over the telephone, absolutely void of any help. Is this the kind of service people have to go through so they can get the help they need? If I can't get through this, how will elderly people get the help they need? Was she implying that everyone has to book through 'Patches' and get an appointment fast enough before it becomes unavailable after 12 booked appointments? How are elderly people going to do that?

Review titled Not great practice
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Katalin - Posted on 03 February 2023
I had a very bad experience today at StMartins Medical Center. I went to an appointment earlier with 10 minutes 15:30 and I didn’t know that I have to sign in. The receptionist told me that you are late. I don’t understand because they saw me and also I heard the conversation on the phone with a patient about a blood test when the receptionist asked apologies it was 15:35 and she saw me too. I don’t have any personal problems with the receptionist just what I want to treat me with considearation not ignoring people

I was there for a few hours for my double appointments with Surgery and dealings with the receptionist team. I am not able to give you a feeling of how Happy I felt for the extreme help I received from the Nurse on Duty who cared for for me very professionally and took account of every detail of my problems. I can only say Thank you "" God Bless "" and wish you the very best. same also goes to the two receptionists on duty who helped not only to confirm my appointments, but did this with Grace and humility I did not catch the names correctly but you can see the same on the Rota and my appointments on the day. which was today. Kindly thank them all very much on my behalf, I know I can trust the great service given to me and many others visiting your Surgery. With Kind Regards, have a great and Happy "" New Year"" Keep up the nice and efficient work as always. Thanks a million.

Review titled Very rude receptionist with a concerned parent
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Viorica Sima - Posted on 16 December 2022
We are going through the Strep A spread, and all the parents are concerned as soon as the symptoms present. I called distressed that my daughter has really high fever that is returning every 2 hours and she asked to call at 2 pm and she hang up on me. Surely with the Strep A going on , some consideration should be given

Review titled Rude Receptionists
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 December 2022
The GPs themselves are ok, when you eventually manage to secure an appointment. However wait times to get through on the phone can be Time consuming, which is understandable, but what is unacceptable is the sheer rudeness you may encounter when your call is finally answered. The practice really needs to invest in suitable training in empathy, kindness and compassion.... all qualities that are so often lacking in their non medical staff...

I went to the Ickenham surgery today and was very impressed with the service I received from both the Receptionist and the doctor.
