Review titled Systems are frustrating
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 June 2024
Walked half an hour to the surgery this morning in the hope of making an appointment. No. I sat next to the reception desk filling in an online form. Walked home. Got a message to phone in to make an appointment. Phones and no appointments available. It is years between my visits to the GP and I work for the NHS myself so appreciate the limitations but these systems are not working. Even if we could have the option of paying to see a GP you may be in with a chance of seeing someone. I give up.

Review titled Would not recommend
Rated 1 star out of 5

Phoned up about signing up as a patient. Was asked to come in, so went in filled in a form was told that I would receive an email or message by the end of that day to say I had been registered. I was in need of an appointment ASAP. Did not receive this message, so the following week called up again they told me they lost my form. I asked to redo it (after calling and talking to them about 5 times that day). Was told it was put as urgent. It has now been several weeks still not been signed up. Terrible service and communication, would not recommend. They act helpful however don't actually do anything. Honestly go elsewhere, they couldn't even sign me up when I told them how urgently I needed an appointment as a student away from home, in need of tablets.

I am sorry to read of your disappointing experience & would like to apologise. I understand that you were registering as a temporary patient and that my team did not follow the protocols we have in place for this. If you would like to contact me directly via the practice website, or indeed to make a formal complaint, then I would be more than happy to share the results of my investigation with you / give you a fuller explanation with apology & what we have learned from this. Thank-you, Camilla Hawkes, St Martins Practice

Review titled Very helpful receptionists
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I've had a lot to navigate with ongoing cancer care and want to say that the two receptionists have been wonderfully helpful and kind in helping me organise appointments and prescriptions. It goes a long way when you're stressed or not feeling well. Thank you.

Such caring lovely staff from reception taking booking appointment to every doctor, nurse and midwife at the practice. They always do their best and are so friendly despite NHS limits at the moment. Always feel heard and always treated with great respect.

Review titled Bad experience
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I saw the gp due to being unwell and was told i needed to complete a test. Which i did. I then received a message a week later saying that id been removed from the practice as i was out of the area and that I would need to find another gp in order to find out the results. Finally managed to get another gp and was told by them the test hadnt been submitted and there fore there were no results. Which is really upsetting as ive now been waiting weeks to find out the result and am still unwell. Surely it would have made more sense to remove me from the practice after this illness of which id had to see a gp had been resolved.
