Review titled Worst practice ever!
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 June 2024
I have been on anti depressants for a few years now for severe anxiety and depression, I have been told I have to order a repeat prescription via the NHS app, which I do. Every so often they cancel my prescription and try and tell me I haven’t ordered my medication since 2023, they then try and tell me I need to provide them with evidence of my recent prescription and try and make me feel like I’m lying or doing something I shouldn’t be. Not to mention the dose I am on makes me incredibly sick with withdrawal when I stop taking it. Now I can’t get an immediate doctors appointment either so I will again run out despite putting in my repeat request with more then enough time and get sick from it. The surgery can’t even call me to let me know I have they have cancelled my prescription, I have to constantly chase them as to why, what’s happening, when will the doctor call me? it’s a disgrace and I will be looking for a new surgery now.

Review titled Shocking practice

Genuinely the worst practice I have been a patient at. The staff have no patient care and just want to put you off to other places. I put in an e-consult asking for doctors advise and they send me to the pharmacy. I then ask for a medication that they put me on to be put on my repeats and they tell me to buy it over the counter? Why put me on it in the first place? I also had an appointment booked In for a telephone call at the beginning of the year and never received it so when I called reception they said they would see if the doctors still “willing” to call me as if I had missed the call. Overall this is probably the worst practice in the area.

Review titled No Doctors appointment
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have tried to book an appointment on the phone and in person at St Marys Island surgery with no success and just been told to do an e-consult online why can you not book an appointment with the receptionist or in person. Why is every surgery going by email when some people are computer eliterate. Please sort out this stupid e-consult and let me book in person by talking to the receptionist.

Review titled Bad attitude from manager and receptionist
Rated 1 star out of 5

The attitude from receptionist and manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. If I had treated them this way I would be threatened with being struck off . Staff need to go on a course on how to treat patients.

Cancels appoitment , without notice, Been trying to get a prescription for stem medications to prevent asthma. They'd rather I wait until I am in respiratory distress so I can go to emergency. The GPs don't want to work , they just want to shift all load to emergency services .

Review titled Professional and helpful care
Rated 4 stars out of 5

I’ve been a patient of this practice for 4 years, I’ve always had good experiences of dealing with them and due to my health issues that’s been quite regular recently, I can only speak for myself but am happy and reassured when I have dealings with them
