I have recently required some assistance in obtaining a health certificate and the reception staff have gone above and beyond to help me and support me. I can't thank her enough for being so lovely!

I am using this section of the site as I couldn’t find anywhere else suitable for leaving an apology. My wife and I received messages today that we had missed our Covid and flu jab appointments. Apologies: I must have written the wrong date down on our calendar, as we had our jabs last Saturday, at the pharmacy. Very sorry for the confusion and for any difficulties it may have caused. I'd like to leave a positive review for my appointment with nurse N this morning. This was for my first cervical screening, and my first appointment as a newly-registered patient with St Stephens Gate. N was incredibly warm and reassuring in my appointment, which eased my nerves for my first screening. She also took the time to speak with me about an upcoming appointment I have regarding irregular periods, and went above and beyond by conducting some pre-appointment examinations (height, weight, blood pressure). As an NHS colleague working in a non-clinical role, I was so impressed with how the appointment was conducted, and N is a real asset to St Stephens Gate. Thank you N for being so kind and caring. I was also very impressed with the surgery itself - the receptionists were very helpful and welcoming, and the interior of the building was spotless.

In the past few months I have seen my 'named' GP for various issues I am so grateful for the exemplary care I received Blood tests identified problems which have been followed up promptly leading to a much improved quality of daily living Also grateful for the call from the pharmacist who is getting to grips with the acute pain I was experiencing Actually went out on my own to visit a neighbour the pain had improved so much - I have not done this for months I thank you so much for your kindness & patience in resolving my problems I have always been treated with courtesy & compassion by all staff I have encountered over the past few years - thank you all

Relatively short wait for an appointment and seen with only a minor delay despite a busy practice. Needed to phone yesterday and today about a prescription and good to get a call back instead of having to hang on. On both occasions spoke to very pleasant and helpful receptionist. Very different experience from my previous practice from which I recently switched.

No communication, no appointments unless you want to see anyone but a GP. Been diagnosed with a serious condition 6 months ago and still haven’t seen a GP. Awful!

I saw a GP regarding my six month old’s bowel problems. The Doctor I saw was so kind and caring, phoning me pre and post a face to face appointment and explaining every step of the process. I even got a call in the evening when the hospital said they wouldn’t review my son. I feel like we’ve been really looked after. Also the receptionist have been really kind every time I have called me. Overall I have received excellent care.

I came in this morning for an appointment regarding a medical problem however I also wished to discuss something else the doctor told me there would be no time to discuss it and I would have to come another time. I got very upset and the doctor was fantastic she calmed me down and was able to get me in 2 hours later. When I came back she was incredibly supportive and really listened to me and gave good advice about how we could move forward. She showed fantastic empathy and made me feel so comfortable talking about things I don’t find easy. It was one of the first time I felt really listened to and felt like I was taken seriously. I left the appointment feeling so much better and like we had a good plan. Every single member of staff at this practice is fantastic and makes you feel so comfortable. I was so impressed with how she went above and beyond to help me and found me another appointment the same day as I was feeling so upset. I find going to the doctors wuite difficult but this is a fantastic surgery and every single member of staff is an absolute asset Thank you

They lack communication between themselves and the patients, you have to wait a month or more just to be seen. God forbid you suffer with severe anxiety because they don’t know how to cater for your needs and you’ll get left for nearly 2 months without medication because the manager is that unprofessional hed rather argue with you instead of letting you speak to a doctor.

I've visited this practice a couple of times and recently had my first cervical screening. During the whole experience I was made to feel so comfortable, was talked through the whole process, and was still made to feel like more than a number to get in and out. This practice is an asset to the community and I feel so lucky to have this service.
