Great experience on reception. V helpful and kind. I required some details from time off work in relation to a car accident / insurance claim.

Very caring, compassionate and attentive doctor who went out of her way to get me treatment. My experience was very good and nothing could have been done better. The admin staff are excellent too. Highly recommend

Review titled Ceylon at Reception Incredibly welcoming
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Rich McDonald - Posted on 01 January 2025
I really appreciated the warm welcome and incredible service from Ceylon the front desk of the surgery. Considering what I’m sure that this team have to put up with sometimes, the ability for them to bounce back to welcome the next person is admirable! She even left the desk to come and switch on and recalibrate the blood pressure machine in reception from me! It’s not often in London that customer service is really of note, but in such an important patient facing role I think it’s very much worth highlighting. Well done Stanhope team on continually looking after the community and making great hiring decisions like this. (It goes without saying that the GP’s are a fantastic credit to the NHS as well!)

Review titled Lovely doctors
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 September 2024
I was really distressed and needed help. I walked into the Surgery to be met by a lovely receptionist. Even though I didn't have an appointment booked, after a very short wait I was with a doctor. I was having a mental health crisis, really appreciated the care taken by the receptionist, and then the Doctor. Wonderful Surgery.

Review titled Extremely understanding and helpful
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by L. Stoytcheva - Posted on 14 May 2024
Reading the bad reviews and first time there I was a little concerned about the practice in general. Fortunately, they proved me wrong. I needed help and I got it with a smile. Cannot express enough my gratitude. Thank you all!

Review titled Great experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 01 May 2024
I was held up at work and arrived late for my appointment. The reception team worked with me to find alternative appointments, but then the nurse came to reception and quickly organised the schedule to accommodate me, so I got my blood tests after all. Big relief! The nurse was friendly and warm, and the whole experience was well managed, straightforward and efficient. Thank you!

Review titled Abhorrent staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Kenny Leedham - Posted on 13 March 2024
Utterly rude reception staff When venerable people are callig with regards to their physical or mental health, they should be treated with respect. But that is never the case at Stanhope Mews surgery. They seem to only employ the most abhorrent receptionists, who speak down to you, speak over you and 90% of the tine I have actually had to end the call and face sitting at home sick, as they do not want to help you I have recently had blood tests and now I have to wait a week for a Dr to speak to me about what's flagged up that could potentially be serious. They surgery are away that I have been sick for a month now and I actually have no idea why ?. So when I call I expect to be treated woth some dignity and not spoken down to I will now call a friend of a friend , who is. AdR in Florence amd send my Patient report to her (though she doesn't speak English and will have to translate)., as I'm simply not getting any kind of service from the surgery It's appalling throughout Unacceptable to be treated this way , when already in limbo with my health You should be ashamed if yourself !

Review titled Responsive and proactive
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Frances - Posted on 15 March 2024
I had a slight pain in calf and as I had been on a long haul flight I rang the surgery. The discussion I then had with the doctor was very useful and she proactively arranged my attendance at the c&w aec and phoned me back within minutes to give me the instructions. The whole experience was professional and efficient. (I was in fact diagnosed with DVT at the hospital).

I was helped by a caring and very helpful doctor. Unfortunately I am not allowed to post the name. However, she took the time to listen and resolve any queries.

Review titled Arrogant reception
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Fuad KAVUR - Posted on 29 February 2024
On 27/2/2024 I had an appointment at 15:30. However, the cab got stuck in the traffic in South Kensington. So, I called the surgery asking if I should return home. I was advised to attend. I arrived at 15:40 precisely, but was told I could not be seen. I pointed out I had called from the cab and was told to come, but the receptionist called the police. Great way to treat a 77 year old patient!

Dear Mr Kavur We have already communicated about this issue, and I apologise that you had a wasted journey. It is not always possible to see patients that are late, although we do try to be as flexible as possible. I have spent some time with the reception team to ensure they are all very clear about the practice policy to ensure patients are given correct information. Apologies again Karen Rydings Practice Manager
