    The online booking system is much better than the old phone service. I was given an appointment quickly and at a convenient time. The GP listened carefully and took my opinion into account.

    Told by surgeon that i need a referral to the hospital by contacting my GP. Filled the online form requesting this reception sent me a text message saying we are at capacity to ring 111. I wish they would read what i requested instead of sending out there standard response. totally useless. Chells surgery should go back to running its self, use to be a good surgery until Stanmore took over

    Tried to get an appointment today May 24 and was offered an appointment in July 2024. Is it any wonder that people block A &E in desperation to see a doctor. Stanmore Surgery are not fit for purpose and should be investigated by the CQC.

    After multiple online filling forms to get an appointment at Stanmore. All Stanmore can say is "they are at full capacity and to call 111 or go to Urgent Care" it is only 10am! I am elderly and vulnerable and needs help to fill in forms. I am really not well and it is Friday and my options are now limited. I am sure that I am not the only one going through this.

    I have not seen a GP since 2016 so when I do ask for help you can be sure I need it and yet just before Christmas and today I cannot get to see a doctor. At Christmas I completed the online form and within five minutes I was text to say they had reached capacity and I was to call the NHS helpline which was also rammed. I had a house full of people for Christmas and a chest infection and no medication. Today there is no form to complete when you eventually get to it and you can only see a blood nurse? Tried again and it is closed at 15.00. I give up.

    Stanmore medical group must be worse surgery in Stevenage after they offered me a appointment which I've accepted on there link which not working I rang reception 30min wait just to speak to a incompetent receptionist who doesn't know but quick to put the blame on me saying I wasn't quick enough to book the appointment it's all gone...but it clearly says it expires within 7 days....

    My husband was sent a letter to surgery to update his Rivastigmine patches from 4.6mg to 9.5mg from neurology department at Lister hospital Stevenage in spite of his records saying this they kept sending the reduced patch!! I have the persons name who was responsible for this but will only give this if asked for! Stearns kept email to tell Stanmore Surgery and nobody ever replied! This is a serious matter as far as I am concerned and has been very stressful as my husband has had Parkinson’s for many years! Does anyone take this matter seriously!!! Frustrated and very anxious Wife!!

    Went in to surgery to chase up my complaint and to try and get help for my mum. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that the elderly have had their independence taken away by this surgery. The receptionist gave me a telephone number to ring for prescription which is for Kidderminster surgery. They however were lovely and have had many calls from this area. I wouldn't want to be poorly and elderly at this surgery. Something needs to be done.

    Facial skin condition diagnosed over the phone (pre-cancer actinic keratosis). Prescribed Efudix (fluorouracil) as treatment which is a chemotherapy drug. No explanation was provided of the impact / reaction this Chemo cream would have on my face. I sought advice through on-line dermatology forums, which provided much needed help and comfort. No follow up was scheduled to review the treatment progress. After 4 weeks (recommended application) I eventually managed to get a F2F appointment with a GP and was prescribed a topical antibiotic to deal with the extreme lesions on my face. I had to explain to the Dr that this was an expected outcome of the treatment and topical antibiotics were not recommended. I know the NHS is having a tough time but the level of care I received was wholly inadequate. This is an awful treatment to undergo. It has worked, but mainly due to the research and advice I received elsewhere. The modus operandi of this Dr's surgery would appear to be completely reactive, with zero proactivity. If you do ever manage to get an appointment, it is the GP equivalent of an Aldi checkout process. Just get it done as quickly as possible. I am looking to change surgeries as I no longer have confidence in their ability to provide the correct level of care.

    You complete an online form at 8am for an on the day appointment after being unwell all weekend and get offered one on Wednesday! Call to find out why and after being on hold for nearly an hour get told there are none available and if it gets worse call 111….this is not ok. Also had an appointment cancelled with no explanation and was given a new one, no offer of dates just a different time and date, luckily it was ok with work but surely you should contact me first and check the new date works as trying to get through on the phone is almost impossible.
