On my last two appointments which have been within months of each other I have had to deal with incompetent reception staff. My first appointment was they booked me in for a Thyroid blood test instead of a Typhoid infection for an upcoming trip I had so when it came to my appointment the doctor couldn’t carry out the procedure after me waiting for 40 minutes. The second occasion was a more recent appointment where I rang up on two separate occasions to tell them I had just found out I was pregnant and needed a midwife appointment which they agreed and booked me in, when we got there they had booked me in with a doctor who couldn’t help me who sent me away with a phone number to contact. My partner had took time off work for this appointment. It is not acceptable and reception staff need to be more vigilant.

Just went for a vaccination today, super quick and easy, the receptionist had a welcoming smile as I walked in and the Sister who treated me was very considerate and welcoming. Painless jab with the needle with no fuss. Was instructed to sit in the waiting area for 20 minutes and was checked on again by the Sister who gave me the jab.

Health care assistant came to my house to take a blood sample as i am disabled. She also syringed my ears. This was all done very efficiently.Great to be able to hear again!She does an excellent job.

From January 2023 to June 2023 I have been investigated,diagnosed and treated for lung cancer, thanks to the staff and doctors at staveliegh medical, the cancer was found in the early stages. While moving on to other services to be diagnosed and treated, Staveliegh medical kept in touch with me. I felt supported, and was made aware of and offered, mental and emotional support, if needed. Thank you so much for your support and care, that helped carry me through the next few months.
