   I am blessed with good health, and so rarely have to consult with a GP, but recently developed an acute medical problem. I was offered an appointment within 3hrs of making contact. The GP was thorough in his assessment, considerate and professional. I subsequently had to consult with the local Out of Hours Service and once again was seen within hours and prescribed appropriate treatment. Follow-up blood tests were arranged and I was updated about the results by txt message and was then able to access them via the NHS app. Follow-up advice was given by the same GP I originally consulted .I consider myself fortunate to live in a community with such good, accessible and responsive medical care - and especially for the continuity of care and the excellent communication provided by my local GP practice.
