I recently needed an urgent telephone consultation with a doctor. I called the surgery who were able to give me a late afternoon appointment. The doctor called me discussed my problem and prescribed the required medication the same day. I was truly grateful that l was able to get my medication that evening.

This poor surgery seems to be on its knees. There was only one GP there and consequently my appointment was 80mins late. The service I received was excellent - my concerns were listened to and acted upon. The reception staff are also very good - professional and helpful.

I’ve been a patient at Sternhall for around seven years and I have only ever received outstanding service. I write this at a time when there are so many stories about apparently failing GP practices. It starts with the Practice Team where the reception staff are always friendly and helpful. In my experience calls are answered with very little delay and in addition to handling appointments efficiently, they are always willing to try and help with whatever else I'm ringing about. The same goes for the doctors and back-up healthcare team. Not only have I found them accessible and responsive, but I’m also struck by the way in which the surgery seems to monitor its patients and gets in touch when reviews are needed in relation to things like medication or blood pressure readings. This has happened to me on a number of occasions. It really does promote the feeling that I am being looked after by the surgery, over and above whatever issues I may raise myself. Many thanks to everyone at Sternhall!

A few days ago when I called the surgery,Staff were extremely supportive to me when I was in severe pain in my hips and with osteoarthritis in both my knees. I was given great advice and staff listened to my issues and were not in a hurry to dismiss me. Due to the support received I was seen by the A&E doctor and been given medication to help relieve my pain symptoms. I am not pain free but getting much better now. Thank you all 😊

One of the practice pharmacists called me for an annual medication review. She had noticed that I was using one particular drug less than prescribed. I explained that was because of difficulties I have with administration because of my arthritic fingers. As a result she changed the type of delivery to one that is easier for me. I was astonished and at her data-driven and problem-solving approach, which will make a huge difference to me. I am very grateful for this outstanding service!

I called the practice in the morning and was told a GP would call me in the afternoon. This happened and I got an appointment the same evening. Reception team were great and the GP was very patient and understanding, didn't make me feel as though he was rushing me out of the door.

Having just registered with this practice moving from sydenham. I have to say I am seriously impressed. So far everyone I have met (quite a few of you) have been professional, kind and very caring. The doctors really listened to my concerns. I got an emergency telephone appointment on the day and was offered an alternative face to face appointment elsewhere if needed. I am so pleased with this experience overall. Keep up the great work. And Thank you
