  1. Review titled Efficient, kind, professional and caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by William - Posted on 23 August 2024

The contacts I have had with a doctor today and one of the healthcare team last week about the outcome of a blood test and health check were first class. I did not have to wait long for my appointments, I was seen very punctually; and I was treated with great courtesy, care and very professionally. In short, the service I have received has been exceptional. Huge thanks.

I rang because 111 said contact my practice, the receptionist answered, not even a good afternoon!! Just ring back at 8am very abruptly. Didn’t even as what the problem was. Not acceptable.

Dear Karen, Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear that you have had a poor experience with one of our receptionists via the phone in August. Please get in touch with the practice manager with your details, if you wish to discuss this further. We take all of our feedback on board and we use negative experiences as learning events and for training proposes. To improve patient care, I will use this feedback to discuss telephone manner at the next reception meeting. Best wishes, Judit - Operations Manager

Perfect as always. Friendly nurse, running on time with an excellent technique - I hardly even felt a thing! Thank you.

  4. Review titled Great Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

One of the GP partner saw me at short notice regarding my severe left hip bursitis. He has referred me for further investigations at a hospital and prescribed appropriate pain relief. He was kind, sympathetic and very knowledgeable of my condition. Many thanks!

Had a blood test and the nurse was so good as I do not like blood or needles, made me feel at ease and took my sample without any difficulty, such a lovely lady.

  6. Review titled Contact too difficult

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 July 2024

I needed an appointment so I emailed the surgery and was told I have to call or EConsult. However I work full time. Online appointments are still not available. E consult is only available for a short time each day. Phones are busy and now closed over lunch time. So how is someone who leaves the house early for work and gets home late supposed to communicate? Even if you can get through to them, there are no advance appointments available or at least not within a decent time frame. It's a shame we are made to stay through catchment area or I would move practice. Dr's are great but the system here is broken. Bring back the express clinics! And online booking. If you're not doing online booking then update your website as you're promoting something that does not exist and hasn't for over 4 years.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Reception staff very friendly and efficient in making an appointment for me to see a practice nurse for blood tests. On the day of the appointment the nurse was punctual, friendly and informative. I’ve never had anything other than friendly and professional service at this surgery. Thank you all for your hard work.

  9. Review titled Feeling heard

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jo Phipps - Posted on 06 June 2024

I have been experiencing a lot of medical issues and my GP was really responsive. She listened intensely to everything I said to create a plan to get to the bottom of my issues. I am so grateful because I felt listened to and I genuinely feel like she will help me get to the route of the problems

  10. Review titled Concerned patient

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I am contacting you via this app as there doesn’t seem to be any other way. I called in to the Steyning surgery this week to request a blood test for Hep C as I am concerned because of all the recent publicity on the news. In 1987 I suffered retained placenta several weeks after giving birth and was quite ill which resulted in my having to have a blood transfusion. A year or so later, after suffering another miscarriage, I had to have another blood transfusion. Although I discussed it with the doctor at the time, I was advised not to have a test. I had an email from you today suggesting I request an NHS testing kit. I have tried that already but could not generate enough blood to fill the vial provided. Therefore, if I can’t have a blood test in the surgery I am going to continue to be anxious.
