Recognised I had sepsis and sent straight to hospital, rang in afternoon to check on my progress. To me that was over there duty of care for me

  2. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My appointment was with the Sister at Sutton Hill today, lovely lady who listened and made me at ease, highly recommend. I have also spoken with Dr D and he is a great listener and explains everything so you understand your medication and symptoms. No problems at all seeing them, they are both a credit to the practice and profession. Many thanks and highly recommend.

  3. Review titled Awful appointment system

Rated 1 star out of 5

This practice effectively discriminates against people who work full time. For some, myself included, it is not possible to call at 8.30am and stay on hold for in excess of 45 minutes. This means I am not able to answer work related calls so I have to request time off work. I've repeatedly told reception staff this when calling and have been advised to 'try every few days' but that appointments book up very quickly. My most recent call related to concerns of two unusual lesions on my skin. Wasn't even offered an appointment with a nurse for peace of mind bearing in mind the NHS website advises to seek GP advice ASAP.

  4. Review titled Reassuring, attentive and caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My appointment was for a smear test. I was reassured and felt comfortable all the way through the appointment. This can be a sensitive appointment but I felt completely at ease I was feeling under the weather and struggling with a cough. With my underlying asthma condition it was decided to give me a check over. Chest infection diagnosed and antibiotics prescribed. The staff went above and beyond for me and I am extremely grateful. Not all of my experiences have been this positive. So thank you to all of those involved.

  5. Review titled Absolutely Fantastic Practice

I seriously couldn't be happier with the care i have received from the Drs and nurses and reception staff at both Sutton Hill and Stirchley med practice. Very very thorough from start to finish. I honestly can not fault the help and advice and service i have received. You are all a credit to your profession 😃 from first check up to the blood tests and chest xrays and spirometry tests and follow up phone calls. You literally are perfect. In my honest opinion

  6. Review titled Poor and unavailable service

Can never get an appointment even ringing at 8.30am you spend an hour in the Que and by time you get through get told no appointments call again tomorrow, it’s ridiculous especially if you work. You can’t get pre booked appointments anymore either.

  7. Review titled Positive outcome

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Re the doctor today, I felt that he listened intently, asked and then also answered my questions fully He confirmed my negative test result. In fact that was the only negative during my whole consultation. He concluded to my satisfaction, by explaining a plan of action going forward, both short and longer term too. My sincere thanks to him for putting my mind at rest, on what was previously of great concern to me

  8. Review titled Just Awful

Rated 1 star out of 5

It’s ridiculously difficult to try and see your own doctor, rarely able to see anyone twice if ou are able to eat an appointment in the first place. I’ve had worsening chest pain for the last few months related to long COVID, when I eventually managed to get an appointment (someone new again) I was asked to return for an ECG and arrange for a blood test. The ECG shows an abnormally and the bloods also show the same abnormality that I’ve had for the last two years but despite this the doctors notes say the ECG is ok and the bloods are to be repeated 3 months time, I have tried for 2 days to get feedback only be told I need an appointment to discuss it which the earliest available is another 2 weeks. 2 weeks of daily pain before I can even discuss why they won’t investigate further and just want to kick the can down the road again. Avoid this place like the plague!

  10. Review titled very efficient and supportive

I recently contacted the Stirchley surgery because of breathlessness. Within 20 hours I had blood tests, 2 ECGs, a chest X-ray and contacted 4 doctors not to mention the support from all tha admin staff. I have since had an echocardiogram.Throughout, my treatment has been both very efficient and very supportive, so a big thank you to everybody.
