  1. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Peter Lewin - Posted on 26 October 2023

I find Strawberry Hill Medical Centre a well organised and well run practice. Their flu and Covid vaccination day was well done compared to many. Reception and Admin Staff are helpful and friendly even at difficult moments. All the medical staff who have treated me have been efficient, thorough with a very patient manner. Some current staff are the best I have ever had.

Doctor made me feel reassured, listened and nothing seemed too much trouble. Going to request if this GP can be my registered GP moving forward

  3. Review titled Speedy referral & effective communication

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by John Kenneth Hawkins - Posted on 17 June 2023

When I noticed some worrying symptoms I obtained a doctor's appointment within a couple of days, the doctor then made an urgent referral to a specialist. The specialist at Royal Berks saw me within 2 weeks and then organised an MRI and a biopsy within a further 2 weeks. I have already received a repeat prescription from Strawberry Hill (as prescribed by Royal Berks) to alleviate some of the symptoms. The communication between Strawberry Hill and Royal Berks has been very efficient and extremely quick.

  4. Review titled Kind and considerate

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by SueG - Posted on 11 March 2023

I phoned the surgery to make an appointment with my GP. The lady I spoke to was so kind, considerate, understanding & professional. She understood my reason for calling & the way she treated me & helped me was with such respect, thoughtfulness and reassuring. I can't thank her enough. In my telephone appointment, my GP was as always, kind, considered, professional & collaborative. These two people alone are a credit to the surgery and I can't recommend this surgery enough. Thank you.

  5. Review titled Wonderful Team you all are!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Suzanna Adams - Posted on 10 February 2023

I am so thankful for the amazing care my son recently received from Strawberry Hill. My son of 15 had suffered a cough and cold since before Christmas but suddenly two weeks ago things changed and he became very ill. I rang Strawberry Hill in a panic and pleaded for an urgent appointment. Reception were brilliant, they knew things were not good. We were seen very quickly and The Doctor took over. He gave my son a thorough examination taking great amount of time and care. He gave a diagnoses of suspected of pneumonia/chest infection. He wasted no time with urgent further tests at the local hospital. Blood tests, Xray, more appointments and most important Antibiotics meds .. the care was constant. There were two further check up appointments as The Doctor wanted to make absolutely sure there was improvement each time . My son is fully on the mend. Absolutely amazing care and extremely heartwarming.. thank you so much for the most wonderful care to The Doctor involved along with the rest of the Team at Strawberry Hill.

  6. Review titled Impossible to book an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 January 2023

I find it unbelievable that they have gotten rid of their eConsult system! I understand that sometimes eConsult can cause practices to become very busy as it is a very easy way to contact your GP but getting rid of this and making everyone call to make an appointment is absurd! I, like a lot of other people, work during practice hours, meaning that it is almost impossible to call and make a routine appointment. Lunchtime is always a busy time on the phones and it is near impossible to get through in my half hour lunch break. I have resorted to upping my medication myself and have been ordering it early; half a month early for the past few months and nobody dealing with prescriptions has even noticed the 'overordering'. This is a very poor practice and I would steer well clear!

  8. Review titled Very bad behaviour by lady Dr

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 November 2022

We had the appointment for our 4 year old girl she cried all night and morning because of tummy pain and leg pain we book GP appointment because for us it was emergency and when we reached there GP saw our daughter in school dress and started screaming that she is in school dress and you are saying it's emergency, within 1 minutes she saw our daughter and she did not listen any other thing because of her behaviour our daughter said her pain is gone but when we reached home she started complaining about the tummy pain again, after that she had very bad fever and again leg & tumny pain, but she doesn't want to go to doctor because of that one doctor behaviour..my question is that where we schedule have to go when we need doctor? and what is emergency in your term ? if your daughter is crying badly ,not active as used to be ,not talking to you ,not playing, not watching TV,not eating having fever and pain,we will go to doctor,if Doc is rude where we should have to go?? Every night I am struggling because she is behaving very weird, crying all the time.

  9. Review titled Great interactive online system

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mike Fereday - Posted on 19 August 2022

I used the “new” online system to give details of a non-urgent issue. My GP emailed me back within 48 hours offering an appointment for the next day. Prior to the online system I would have had to ring reception, wait ages for the phone to be answered and then having been triaged, offered an appointment six weeks hence. I found the system very easy to use and was impressed with the response. I believe this practice is delivering a much improved service to patients.
