This is typical of trying to get seen by a doctor at this practice, but this is my current situation. Last night I felt unwell and couldn’t catch my breath. I am very wary of misusing NHS resources so I called 111. Because I could hold a conversation they deemed that I could wait to be seen and to call my doctors in the morning, where they would have sent a report from my phone call. They did not send a report. So upon calling my doctors at 11am, they advised me that, despite still having breathing difficulties, there were no appointments for today, in fact the earliest I could get an appointment was next week. Had I woken up at 8am (I’ve been trying to sleep all night with pain and breathlessness - how dare I finally be asleep) I might have got an appointment for today. All they can offer is the out of hours dr. They, unsurprisingly, don’t have any appointments. So although 111 believe this to be a gp issue, I’m going to end up sitting at urgent care for hours upon hours. This happens litterally every time we have a health issue that, while I wouldn’t call it ‘emergency’, needs to been since in less than a week. I have been at this doctors surgery all my life. I’ve Had enough now and will be looking elsewhere.

Really lovely surgery, receptionists are very helpful and considerate. Doctors are very thorough and listen. Highly recommend!
